That seems rather quick. Did they have him picked before it was even open?

I guess he must have overwhelming interview skills, or either knows somebody. One would think that his tenure at Clinton would have been taken into account. Not saying he isn't a good football coach. Some people are good head coaches, some good assistants. Sometimes that line gets blurred and it doesn't work out quite as well

i was told webb was highly recommended by some influential football folks. they believe he is the guy that will turn the program around.

the job was posted for a few weeks, there were 45 applicants . that was narrowed down to a handful and the committee was most impressed with webb thru the interview process and the recommendations that came with him.
now i'm not in the know, just a fan. so take what i heard, for what it's worth.
