Good post.
I'm not surprised at most on that list, but Greer MC must have a heck of a track/cross country program. I suspect it's not a "recruiting issue" with them.

But does anybody actually think that Jerome and his minions have the stones to do anything about it? No. Now they ought to take all of these IMG wannabees and put them in their own classification

I don't think it could be any clearer in anyone's mind... 7 of 42 and 11 of 16 are some convincing numbers that the balance is swaying to those schools.
It would be interesting to see how the other classifications played out to see if the perceived "balance" is there in the other classifications.

That statement coming out of Crescent is also interesting.
I wonder what they are saying this year moving up to 3a
They don’t have to worry about Gray Christ Church or St Joe’s anymore
They now get
Daniel wren bhp Clinton etc....
They might start missing some of those places.
As far as the charter schools go I don’t see how anything gets changed without some sort of litigation.
It would help if the state would actually go In and upgrade some of these schools. Some of these schools have gyms that have no seating for fans. How are they supposed to raise revenue.
Maybe consolidation of two schools into one would help but
I don’t see the problem getting better as there has been a massive push especially due to covid for parents to put their kids in more private schools. I don’t blame the schools for taking full advantage of the rules. This like a lot of other high school athletic problems lies at the feet of SCHSL.

I have heard rumors of possible actions, but on what legal basis and legal standing would the courts have to rule?

It worked for Lockhart, Jonesville and Union.

Found it amusing this week that two players have apparently been recruited away from Southside Christian. One going to Mauldin. Another going to Greenville County recruiting leader, Greenville High. GHS also pilfered a very talented kid from Wren as well. So while many of the private and charters are recruiting, there are some public schools openly recruiting as well.

Maybe the family could no longer afford to pay for tuition...
