Today marks the first day of the new season. My Lions start their journey to the top of the 3A mountain for the third year in a row. We had to replace many positions on both sides of the ball. The skill positions had a great summer at 7 on 7’s. The OL and DL are still a question mark but we’ll find out soon how they stack up. We start the season with scrimmages against Hillcrest and Eastside. Hillcrest will be a good way to gauge how the team looks against the reigning 5A-1 region champs. Eastside is still a rebuilding program so that game will hopefully be a confidence builder. I’m excited to see how this team performs before we welcome Greer into town.

Stretch any idea on dates and times of those scrimmages?

Hillcrest 8/4 at 6:00
@Eastside 8/8 at 5:30

I’m not 100% on the home/away but last year we went to Hillcrest and Eastside came to us so I’m assuming we flipped for this year

I checked my schedule for next week and there's a (scrimmage) football game on Friday.

This week: Cane Bay at South Florence.
Next week: Sumter at South Florence.

I am so excited!!!! Football season is here Baby!!!! My Beaufort Eagles Football Team should have another great season.

This week: Cane Bay at South Florence.
Next week: Sumter at South Florence.

How is your team looking for this year? They were my pick for the 4A title last year. I know Sellers is still there but what all was last from last season?

Mickey please share some details about Greer if you get to see them. That’s the mighty lions first opponent in week 0.

We're returning a lot of starters. They looked good at the spring game, but it's a little hard to judge when you're playing against yourself. I think we'll have a very good year, but I'll know more on Friday.

Nice, they got a pretty tough schedule ahead for them so best of luck.
