Daniel vs Eastside scrimmage

Lions go to Eastside for our second and final scrimmage this preseason. Eastside was a young team last season so I expect them to be improved so we’ll hopefully get some good competition and get our team ready for Greer on the 19th.
Some big news is we are getting Watson Young back who is a rising junior who’s dad and uncle were players for the Lions. He had transferred to IMG this summer and right before the school year began he returned to Daniel. Excited he’s back it’ll be huge for our OL to have him in the trenches.

Dub!...Eastside?...man, risky ain't it? Tough guys like that? The mean streets of Pelham Road?
That's outside your comfort zone...I'm sure Spartanburg Christian, Calhoun Falls, Whitmire and Ware Shoals all had scrimmage dates available. I admire D. Wistar for scrimmaging Eastside. I hope y'all survive that.....

It was either 49-0 or 42-0. Both sides of the ball looked good tonight. Done with scrimmages now we will be back for week 0 against Greer.

Stretch it was 49-0
We were on visiting side keeping count.
Doesn’t include the clear path pick 6 or the snap over their punters head that were both blown dead.
Looked real sharp
Lots of playmakers and speed
All the fast backs out of the backfield will be nightmares
No one will be able to double any receivers and both qbs looked great. If they didn’t blow some of their runs dead it would’ve been even worse.
Defense has some things to overcome but looked good when it mattered.
Eastside in a word was overwhelmed
Greer on the 19th
Let’s get after it!
