Can anyone verify this?

I just saw this on Facebook today, i don't believe that this is true. Does anyone know? I saw a post that said that the football stadium at Ninety Six is named after a former coach named Campbell who never won more than 4 games in a season as head coach. And, the baseball field is named after a former student/player named Corley who never played an inning of baseball, on any level, after high school.
Someone asked if there was any death or tragedy associated with either of these and the poster said no, Ninety Six just decided to name the stadiums after these 2 people for no apparent reason. It went on to say that when the players come on the football field before the game, still today, they are expected to rub a replica of the Clemson rock that sits behind the goal post, that this same Corley guy, who never attended Clemson, put up there, also for no apparent reason. Does anyone know if any of this is true? This is insane if it is true. I have never heard of anything like this in my life. True or false?
