Three years of Covid and two seasons in the hospital have kept me away from Newberry High football for the last five years I believe. It could be four, but it's been a very long time!
I definitely aim to be at NHS tomorrow night as the Bulldogs begin year 101 of football with the hosting of Union! Hopefully, i"ll make all of the rest of the games this year as well!
I have missed all of you and the jabbing, but I've mostly missed the lights, the sounds, and the excitement of Friday night football!
What has truly changed my life in the past number of years, though, is being diagnosed with severe depression a few years ago.
One pill a day has truly changed my life as my depression was controlling every facet of me physically, mentally, and emotionally sadly for the last 40 years or so.
Don't be embarrassed if you aren't feeling like you should. Those demons almost made me do some terrible things, but the Lord, thousands of prayers, and love, love, love from so many people from so many high schools in this state especially will help take me to NHS tomorrow!

This was my actual name back then, but I guess after about being off for five years...I got taken off.
It's all good!
I get my name NOT from the town Green Acres is set in, but more so that the only time I don't go to Hooters to see my girls is on the days that don't end in a 'Y"!
I know Woodruff Legend and a few more already on here, so maybe I'll start some jawing back-and-forth with some of my 2A co-horts!
