Clinton 2-6: what now?

Clinton has won it's last two games and may be back on track. It's nice to see the coaching staff has awakened to the wonders of the forward pass. With the ground and pound mentality the play action is especially effective. Keep it up devils.
All Allison needed to become effective was reps. Reps in practice, reps on the field.
Now if they could just do something about the clown doing the play by play on the radio everything would be good. He's so busy running his mouth he can't even get the basics right.
This is typical: Red devils on their own forty, Allison sits the devils down, hands off to boo boo brown off tackle and he drives to the 50 yard line for a red devil first down, ( quiet voice in the background ) they mark him down at the 47 and it was number 99 dumbravious dogg on the carry. Bad spot by the officials and dumdog is tearing it up, shout out to my Joanna bannah boys tonight.
Repeat over and over til the game ends. Don't know what he does for a living but he needs to stick with it! clown

So hows the old saying go. " a good run game opens up the pass game" or is it " a good pass game opens up the run game" ???
Either way I'm glad to see the Red Devils getting some injured players back on the field and putting some things together for a few wins. Hopefully they can sneak into the playoffs again.
BTW whats wrong with the Joanna Banana Boys????

Long time Whitmire Hwy/ Marion St. boy myself. Just wish the clown with the mike would nail down one end of his tongue and actually stop blabbing long enough to get the player/number/yardage right. The number two man is much better. Sideline guy and stats man do a good job.
Allison has some sure handed receivers. The ground and pound opens up the play action pass, and last week Pitts was so wide open on his TD it was funny. He could have waltzed into the end zone.
The last time CHS won state it was with a bunch of over achievers. This bunch may have jelled at the right time. I sure hope so.

Thats Funny!
Lets hope so because it really doesn't matter how many non-region losses a team has as long as you finish strong in region play.
When did you live on Marion St and when did you graduate from CHS???

My great grands , grands, parents, kids, we lived there in the 50's. We moved when I was young and I didn't graduate from CHS. I came back to PC for college, then left for some time. Back here to retire and enjoy the peace and quiet of rural Laurens County.
I know quite a number of people who have sons and grandsons playing for the devils, so I try to cheer them on in support of my friends.

So you were there when Joanna was a very vibrant town, before I-26 was built? I'm sure you remember the Gulf station, Western Auto, Gilder & Weeks Drug store (still there), Browns Grocery, the community center, Joanna Hospital ( where I was born), The swimming pool at the school and how beautiful Magnolia street used to be and the Moose Lodge just to name a few????
The town has all but dried up. My Mom is still there along with some kinfolk but Joanna was an awesome place to grow up in the 50's 60's and 70's.
Good luck to the Red Devils this week, hopefully they can get the momentum rolling.
