96 at Pelion

these 2 have never played each other.
Pelion got beat bad by Gilbert last week.
that is their only loss.I think my Wildcats
will win but who knows.the weather is
suppose to be great Friday.i just hate
the 140 mile round trip drive.

My Wildcats win 36-7. 96 dominated
in this one.Chico Mason of 96 went out
with a leg injury.he is 96 best player
on defense at linebacker and plays on
the offensive line.he is 2 time state wrestling
champion in 2a heavy weight.i hope he will
be ok.the 96 jv team beat B&L JV 29-26
in a nail biter Thursday night.i think my
Wildcats will have a pretty good team
next year.they don't have many seniors
this year.

I wouldn't read too much into this, Pelion isn't even a decent Pop Warner team. My guys at work say if 96 improves it will be because Neal is back coaching and his grandson is the JV QB. Is that true?

No one is reading anything into this except you.
96 is at best an average 2a team as are most
all teams in 2a are.there are a few exceptions.
If you want to give Neal and his Grandson all
the credit that's fine.
i like him and glad he is back at 96.
unless Abbeville and Oceanside collegiate and
Saluda fall apart other 2a teams can forget
about winning a championship this year.i
would include Gray Collegiate but they gave
up a bunch of points to Mid-Carolina.

When Neal went to North Mytle beach years ago as the defensive coach they gave up about 40 points a game.he was 12-31 4 years at Aiken as head coach.Emerald didn’t improve when he coached there.his 2 years at McCormick he played some pretty good teams and got slaughtered his1st year.His 2nd year they played for the1a state but got beat.1a was weak that year so Mccormick and Cross made it to the state.

He didn't move the needle at 96, Aiken, or any where else. Nothing against the dude.... just some folks with an agenda propped him up on here.
You need guys like him... some one to plug along. Not a whole lot of Nick Sabans roaming the halls of most high school hallways.

Says the guy who said this about Coach Nickles at Abbeville -
"It just shows the vast majority of the 200 wins came against bottom feeders that can't compete with Abbeville.most schools don't take football as serious as Abbeville.just look at 2018"

96 is pitiful and has been since the black coach told the booster club to shove it and left, according to my guys there. 96 is nothing compared to the great teams that were there before the booster club took over deciding who would play and who wouldn't, according to my guys there. One thing we can all agree on, 96 is horrible and if they improve it won't be because of anything someone connected to the booster club did, it will be someone new getting involved.
