Where they stand now, and what is left on the schedule. What do you think the final standings will be?

Dorman will have to put it all together these final two weeks. I’ve a feeling Gaffney is ready to throw everything they have at us next week.
I got confirmation that Dorman did rest starters in the Mauldin game. I was told by a staff member that our starting running back didn’t play in the Mauldin game.
I’d be surprised if the first half of the Gaffney game Friday wasn’t for similar reasons.
If Dorman can roll into the Spartanburg game undefeated I think we might just see an attendance that rivals the ‘94 game.

Region One in the final week will see J. L. Mann hosting Hillcrest with winner getting the Number 2 Seed from the Region. T. L. Hanna is your champ since they hold the head to head over both of those teams, even an upset to Woodmont doesn't change things.
Region Two is still up for grabs with Dorman and Gaffney meeting having the biggest implications for the #1 seed. A Dorman win and the final week would determine the Region. A Gaffney win and the Indians are Region Champs. Should Dorman win, there could be a three way tie with a Spartanburg win over Dorman in the final week.
Region Three is fairly simple, Blythewood and Spring Valley meeting in the final week for the Region championship is the most likely way it plays out, but upsets this week and these two let Clover back into the mix.
Region Four - Maybe the easier to predict.... but I'll save the rest for tomorrow. Us old folks need our rest.

Region Four - The MOST likely is that Dutch Fork wins out and wins the Region. Reality is, there are some other potential ways this could work out. For example, Lexington is already 3-0 and waiting for Dutch Fork in the final week for their shot at the Region Title. Dutch Fork and River Bluff meet this week and a Dutch Fork win sets up the show down with Lexington described above. However, a River Bluff win, and the Lexington vs Dutch Fork game is still for the Region Championship for Lexington and Dutch Fork; however, another win by River Bluff against Chapin would give us a three way tie at 3-1 and then you have to get out the tie breaker procedures. All that said: Dutch Fork wins out and wins the Region Title again is my call!
Region Five - St James and Sumter winner Friday night are in the driver's seat for becoming Region Champs. Three way ties are still possible, so Carolina Forrest is not eliminated unless they lose at Socastee. St James has Sumter and Carolina Forrest, so they seem to have the most difficult of the two schedules, while Sumter does have to travel to St James they would host Conway in the final week while Carolina Forrest would be hosting St James in the final week.
Region Six - Unless a stunner happens, Cane Bay looks like they will finish at 3-1 and Stratford would need to beat Goose Creek in the final week to have a three way tie at 3-1. A Goose Creek win over Wando and Stratford and the Gators would be Region Champs.
Region Seven - Fort Dorchester and Summerville seem headed for another showdown in the final week with a Region Title on the line. Now Ashely Ridge and West Ashley this week are not an easy win for Fort Dorchester and Summerville, and a win by Ashley Ridge means they are not eliminated, so they have a lot to play for this week. If they were to beat Summerville, then they would turn around and become Green Wave fans for the final week in hopes of a Green Wave win and a three way tie.
As you can see, it's getting down to the end and the pathways are clearly defined for all the teams. Most of the Regions in 5A are still available to at least two or three teams. A few Regions look to be headed to a head to head match up in the final week with the title on the line!

4A-6
21 Oct
S Florence at N Myrtle Beach
Hartsville at W Florence
Myrtle Beach at Wilson
28 Oct
W Florence at S Florence
Hartsville at Wilson
Myrtle Beach at N Myrtle Beach
5 competitive games remain. It looks like the week 10 matchups will be 1v2, 3v4 and 5v6. If SF and WF win this week then our week 10 game is for all the marbles. If H'ville beats WF, and WF beats SF we'll be in a three-way tie. I'll need to verify what our region's tie-breakers are.

Rebel fan.....there is no mystery about DF and their region. Either RB, or Lexington, has about as much chance of beating DF as any good youth team. In fact, if RB and Lexington were in Region 2, I am not real confident either one would make the playoffs.

As I've said before, I don't think and all-star team made up of the rest of the Region couldn't beat Dutch Fork; however, out of fairness and equality to the other regions, I felt an obligation to point out the "potential" (yet unlikely) scenarios for the Region.

This is the most wide open Region at this point in the season:
REGION 1-AAAA W L
GREENVILLE..... 3 0 VS Greenwood AT Easley
GREENWOOD... 2 1 AT Greenville AT Pickens
EASLEY............ 2 1 VS Westside VS Greenville
WESTSIDE....... 2 1 AT Easley AT Berea
Greenwood, Easley and Westside have one loss and the only team that controls it's own destiny is undefeated Greenville. Greenwood at 4-1 COULD end up in a tie with 4-1 Westside and lose the head-to-head tiebreaker or end up in a three way tie with Greenville at 4-1. This one is just a wait and see.
REGION 2-AAAA W L
RIVERSIDE....... 3 0 ................................ VS Greer
LAURENS.......... 2 1 VS Eastside
GREER.............. 1 1 VS Wade Hampton.. AT Riverside
Again, Riverside beating a 2-1 Greer in Week Ten would be for the Region Championship. Should Wade Hampton beat Greer, the Warriors are the Region Champions since they hold the tiebreaker head to head win over Laurens. Greer at 3-1, Riverside at 3-1 and Laurens at 3-1 is still possible and would result in those tiebreakers getting researched again. (A consistent rule would be nice wouldn't it? Oh, wait, we used to have that!)
Now one that you could have multiple scenarios work out:
REGION 3-AAAA W L
CATAWBA RIDGE.. 3 0 AT Indian Land AT Northwestern
NORTHWESTERN.. 3 0 AT South Pointe VS Catawba Ridge
SOUTH POINTE.... 2 1 VS Northwestern VS York
South Pointe has a loss to Catawba Ridge, and they play Northwestern Friday so they need help from Catawba Ridge. Catawba and Northwestern hold their own destiny. Just Win! Should be some good football the next couple of weeks!
Simple one:
REGION 4-AAAA W L
NORTH AUGUSTA... 2 0 VS Airport VS Midland Valley
MIDLAND VALLEY... 2 0 AT South Aiken AT North Augusta
Both teams have a game this week, and a win by South Aiken could present a possibility of a three way tie, but it looks like a Week Ten showdown in a great possibility!
Is anyone surprised at this Week Ten Showdown:
REGION 5-AAAA W L
A C FLORA......... 3 0 AT Lugoff-Elgin VS Ridge View
RIDGE VIEW...... 3 0 VS Richland NE AT A C Flora
I didn't think so! This one was the most projected scenario back in August for this Region.
SF Band Dad covered this one:
REGION 6-AAAA W L
SOUTH FLORENCE... 3 0 AT N Myrtle Beach VS West Florence
WEST FLORENCE.... 3 0 VS Hartsville AT South Florence
HARTSVILLE........... 2 1 AT West Florence AT Wilson
WILSON................. 1 2 VS Myrtle Beach VS Hartsville
The "Thank you for leaving Beaufort" Region
REGION 7-AAAA W L
JAMES ISLAND 3 0 AT Hilton Head Island VS Lucy Beckham
LUCY BECKHAM 2 1 VS Colleton County AT James Island
MAY RIVER 2 1 VS Bluffton VS Hilton Head Island
Penguin has to be loving the idea that James Island is leading the Region. James Island could be hosting Lucy Beckham (yes, that new school) in Week Ten for a Region Championship! Who saw that one?

I’ve seen the light. The coaching and execution seem to have done a 180 beginning with their dominant performance against Northwestern.
The Dorman squad has shown this year that they know how to finish games buy I can’t imagine us withstanding the blitzes that they brought against Spartanburg.
It’s hard to say but with them beating Spartanburg and having beaten DF the last time they played them, Gaffney probably gets the nod from me this year. They’re just not at all the same machine I saw lose to South Pointe. Not sure what happened. Somebody must have lit a fire under some asses.
