Foxes travel to River Bluff Friday for their third region game. River Bluff is a great place to watch a high school football game- they do things right there; great stadium and great atmosphere. RB have lost to Lexington and beat White Knoll. JB on SC Varsity has questioned the overall speed of both River Bluff and Lexington (last game of the season), and if that is the case, DF may be problematic. Silver Foxes have some wheels. Been good getting a lot of our banged up players back, in particular the starting QB Aliam Appler. RB runs the ball so the defense needs to buckle up their chinstraps and knock some heads. Defense has been smothering the past couple weeks and playing well all season. Back to back shut outs and the offense is starting to find their rhythm with Appler back.

On a side note, you would think the Gamecocks would learn to recruit some WRs from DF....Antonio Williams is starting at Clemson as a true freshman; Elijah Spencer is on the watch list for the Biletnikoff award for 2022 at UNC-C, and we all saw what Jalin Hyatt at Tennessee did to Alabama Saturday. DF has another that is under the radar and not being sought like he should...Isiah Jones. Transfer from out of state and was an Adidas All-American as a Junior, but with the starting QB out and DF focusing heavily on the run, he has spent more time at TE blocking. Big frame but has speed and hands to go with it. He deserves a look.

Hope the Foxes play sound ball Friday...watch the penalties and come out healthy and with a "W"!

But I see that DF's schedule is a lot litter (Region games), so they should be able to throw the ball with more ease. Have has anyone heard from Hyatt's bro - Devin whom transferred to IMG last year? I looked everywhere on IMG's highlights and couldn't find any production from him. Yes, USC should recruit DF a lot better; that was something Muschamp didn't do so well in.

DF will have their way in this game. The final spread probably depends on whatever mood Knotts wakes up in Friday morning. Neither RB or Lexington is anywhere close to DF.
