Dutch Fork vs Lexington

This is for the region title. Lexington's only loss came week one in a close one to West Florence. JB has the Wildcats ranked ahead of DF in his Midlands poll-{he also has the running backs at Lexington and River Bluff rated ahead of Jarvis Green too...wonder if he has changed his mind on that} Wildcats beat Chapin 25-7, River Bluff 48-21, and White Knoll 36-33 (OT). Dutch Fork defeated White Knoll 52-0, Chapin 51-0 and River Bluff 56-7. One thing that stands out to me is at the half DF had outscored the other three regions teams 114-0.
It seems DF is getting healthy again, especially across the OL. The injuries has helped develop some quality depth which is nice to have this time of year. DL seems in good shape. Our defense is playing lights out. A deep aggressive DL, the best set of linebackers in the state and an outstanding secondary with D1 talent and depth makes them a tough bunch.
Getting the offense in better shape with injuries has been crucial. Getting Jarvis Green and Aliam Appler back healthy is key and giving us a solid passing attack to go with Green, McQuire, Lodge, Anderson etc - being able to run and throw is needed this time of year. Play DF football...limit turnovers and penalties and see how things go Friday against a good Lexington team.

Won't be close. As usual, the spread will be whatever Knotts wants it to be. I found it humorous that some, even some of these supposed experts on the radio, that actually thought RB actually had a chance last week. Much the same scenario will happen this week

I've never understood why people give any credit to what JB says. Just because he has been doing what he does for a long time doesn't mean he has a clue what he is talking about. There are MANY people that have a better knowledge of high school football in this state than he does, he just has the platform to share his opinions.

I'll take Green to score more than the Wildcats this week. He will be the best player on the field. Anybody who thinks he isn't the best RB in this game is insane.

JB is a good guy. He checked in on me all those years living abroad in Iraq, Jordan, UAE and Afghanistan and his boards helped keep me sane...I know Slick, that is debatable...lol.
Even with the injuries DF has had this season don't seen how he thinks Lexington is that much better than DF given our schedule and results- though it may just be some homerism, we all do that. Lexington has always been competitive save 2020...that was a weird season...but even last season which was on par with this season for them they weren't as good as the Silver Foxes....last four seasons DF has won 49-3, 55-13, 42-7 and 51-7. If DF wins I'm not saving it will be that much but programs don't change drastically unless there have been drastic changes. We will have to wait and see.

Never said he wasn't a good guy. Every time I've dealt with him personally, I've had nothing but positive interactions. I just don't think he is the guru people make him out to be.

JB is Jim Baxter. Been covering football around the midlands for years. Does SC Varsity. He is a good guy. He knows, but I doubt he is going to come out and just tell people they have zero chance against DF, or anybody else.

JB had a change of heart on his actual game prediction and picked the Foxes with some backhanded compliments and soul searching...wonders never cease...just have to wait and see what happens Friday night across the dam.
