Well...... With my gwood glasses on I'd agree and I hope you're right and they do win. I'll say this, Greenwood has beaten North Augusta, Easley, Berea, and Pickens. Best win so far is Easley. I hope some of the changes on offense they showed last week will work against South Aiken. From the stats South Aiken gives up some points but damn they can score. That worries me. We don't need to be getting into a shootout with them on the road. Just gotta hold on to the football and not have penalties to put us behind the chains. If we can do those things we should be alright but we'll see. Go Eagles!

The changes weren't really that big. There still is no balance. Hard to be a champion if you're one dimensional. Not that you can't be, but it's hard. Look. I love the starting QB. I even know his folks. But lets be honest. He's no passer. We have 2 kids that we know are more accurate. Why not let one of those 2 play when going into the pistol set and let them throw? Nothing wrong with mixing things up. If we're going to be one dimensional, how is that any different from the recent past? It isn't. Hard to compete at this level like that.

Let me add another opinion. I feel bad for our receivers. What if they want a scholarship to play at the next level? Do they have to change positions? They deserve a shot at the next level too.

You guys sound just like BEF and I through the Mark Clifford years at Beaufort. We had some excellent QB's and WR's who never got to shine because of the old "Danny Ford Veer Option." It took the hiring of DeVonte Holloman as our new Head Coach to change the offense here. When he left after 2 years, his OC, Bryce Lybrand, whom I am sure that you are familiar with, got the HC job and has tweaked the offense even more. Last season, Beaufort was a throw-first team because of our outstanding talent at QB and WR. This year, our offense is far more balanced after the emergence of Kacy Fields at RB. Our QB can throw and is only a Sophomore. His decision making is improving as is the entire offensive game plan.

Sometimes, a coach sees things at practice that dictates their game plans. Sometimes, they are just too stubborn and set in their ways. The former can be fixed by hard work at practice. The latter, well, let's just say, a new broom sweeps clean.
The "Godfather" didn't whine like The "Slobfather" is doing, when he got INDICTED!!!!!

I'm definitely not saying they should abandon the run, just mix it up. I must be honest. I've decided that I don't like the offense we're running. It worked for Cathcart, but he had a very loaded team with multiple talented backs. They also could switch out and throw when needed. In 2012 , if they didn't throw it late in the North Augusta game and early in the South Point game, we would've lost. Bryce is familiar with Liner. He played with Liner as the oc.
