Depending upon the distance, you may have better luck with a Cat 6 cable. Wifi can be really finnicky over any real distance outdoors. Most range extenders and repeaters are designed for indoor usage.

I've got an Orbi. That is the one I researched as the best for my needs 8 years ago when I bought this house. It has the hub and 1 extender. I'm not sure of the model number, but it was the best rated back in 2015. It is a model that you can add on extenders to suit your needs; this is one of the reasons I got it b/c I wasn't sure how many I would need.
There are basically 2 things you need to figure, distance - how many linear feet you need to extend, and strength - how much stuff you need to transmit through (walls, ceilings, if it is wall board/brick/cinder block/etc...).
For reference I've got about 4000 sqft and 4 levels (think early 1960's split level ranch) including the basement. The hub is on the 3rd/main level and the extender is on the 2nd/ground/garage level. The extender is right below the bedrooms on the 4th.
I can also get good reception in the back yard at the fire pit, as well as the driveway and the front porch. I can also get mostly good reception just about anywhere on my lot.
Another thing you might want to consider is if your wife/cable/etc... service will run a line to your shop.

Thanks …I will research both..I get a signal out here but it goes in and out..think it’s the brick walls causing my problems..suc’s when your watching a game as I am now..told you that 21 for Pville was tough..
My brother in law wants to put a access point as he calls it in..he installs sound equipment in churches and recently put one in our church that will reach a city block to our fellowship hall..don’t know if I need all that and it sounds expensive..I just need a wee bit more..
Simply getting a line out here is a great suggestion..my DA never even thunk about it.it goes into the house off a outside light pole not 15 yards from the building so I could probably do it myself with a splitter, but post stroke Mikey don’t need to be shimmying up no ladders..again thanks..
