on the "other side" and was glad to hear you had a decent experience as a visitor at Byrnes last night. On the home side, there has been good security this season so I'm wondering what you saw as a visitor regarding security. As for no leg room in the stands, have you ever been to Woodruff? Worst ever. Knees under your chin. :) Here's hoping for a facelift for Byrnes stadium.

I've never been to woodruff for a game. I was told the current home side would become the visitors side if you guys did renovate. It'd be cool if you left the bucket seats! First come first serve.

I had an A-1 experience Friday night. Walked around and back through a thick crowd of Byrnes fans while wearing my Dorman attire and didn't hear so much as a peep. Didn't see much security at all though. The crowds going back and forth are rather large and unordered. If trouble ever started it might get ugly.

Dorman does not allow a single person to cross sides which is of course very frustrating. I think the schools should think about crowd control without being too restrictive.

When Rock Hill District 3 stadium was renovated they made the home side stands the visitors stands providing seating for about 3k. The new home side was constructed to hold about 6k. This has proved adequate for most games played at D3. D3 security procedures sound very similar to Dorman's security. The fans from the opposing schools are not allowed to commingle or at least it is tightly controlled.

Old Trojan.....

In fairness and to be accurate there are a number of Rock Hill residents that ALWAYS sit on the AWAY side regardless if the Trojans or Bearcats are playing. I am guessing they are from RH and go every week regardless which team is playing.

They always sit close to the concession stand. At the Byrnes game they probably number 500 or so and rooted for the Trojans.

This has been going on for many years.

Yeah, they are from the neighborhoods surrounding the stadium. They come to every game played at the stadium regardless of the home team from what I have been told. The bigger games tends to bring more of them out. They get to the stadium early before security gets in place. I guess security has decided it would create a bigger problem trying to make them move to the home side, than leaving them in place. I never have understood why they prefer sitting on the visitors side instead of with the rest of the home fans other than to be contrary.
