Gaffney Boiling Springs

Game lasted well over 4 hours. According to the paper there were 38 penalties accessed. Several more that were declined. Gaffney had nearly 500 yards of plays called back including multiple scores. There were an additional 10 ref conferences after plays where no flag was thrown. There were several more flags waved off. I have never witnessed anything like it in my 53 years. On several plays I saw one of them holding the flag in his hand instead of his pocket before the play started.
We were called twice for illegal fair catch. Said our guy didn't raise his hand far enough. One penalty we still don't know what it is. The signal matches nothing I can find on the internet. It looked like he was dancing the hula. The game announcer said, there is a penalty against Gaffney, but we don't know what it is.
Even with all that, there was nearly 1200 yards of offense in a 59 - 54 Gaffney shootout win. Gaffney intercepts a hail Mary in the end zone on the last play of the game.

I watched the game on TV and felt the same way...
What are they doing?????
They might have been, NOT CERTAIN, the crew we had at Mauldin. They looked as if they should have been at a Little League Game.

Did you see the one where he saw the block in the back against BS,pulled his flag out and then put it back in his pocket. All this in front of the Gaffney bench. Oh my!

You would think that whoever is in charge could be smart enough to look at the games and try and put your best refs at games where the matchups are important, where there is home playoff games at stake. This crew should have been at a riverside game. Well, really this crew should be fired.
They would signal in one direction, then mark off yards in another. Then they would redo the yards. One time I think they counted 2 penalties against us. They marked off 10 yards, then after a few seconds, marked off another 10 yards.

THIS!! YES!! We have a WINNER!!! Completely agree.
So far our worst opponent in Region, we also had the worst officiating crew.
I'm hoping that our Region has started doing this, but maybe we've just been Lucky.

This happened in one of Easley's games this year. Block in the back at the 30 yard line during the punt return. They marked it off twice

I watched the game on DVR this evening and I have no idea what they were doing.
Never mind the calls, they lost complete control of the game and how to manage the progression of the game. It was the worst game of officating I have seen in years.

I spoke with radio guys and coach Jones on Saturday, the head ref was the same one that tried to do us in at Mauldin, and according to coach Jones (when he pulled the rule book up on the iPad) the ref claims to have "forgotten" that the 'illegal shift' rule was changed over the off-season (which prompted Jones to pull the rule book out)....the officials were a complete joke
