Played Football and Classmate with his son David Hackett jr on abbeville 1996 team. We knew about thru his son wasn't any internet information then. His son was a beast of a player too. His son looks like his twin. Prayers for the Hackett family. He was a legend/pioneer in the Lakelands

I remember when David played for the Emeralds.
he was a heck of a blocker and runner.in 1968
Robin Cary,Chuck Huntly and Neville Files got
most of the headlines but David was a big part
of that championship team with his running and blocking.
