Nope. Sources in the Darlington School District tell me that Woodberry is likely going with Johnson to Darlington (since Darlington politely fired all their staff, from the HC down to the position coaches -- and by "politely fired" I mean they were told to reapply for their jobs).

I tell you what though, the H-P job was only open for applications for about a few days. I bet they want a new coach real soon.

You need better sources

Didn't realize people who worked for the school district weren't good enough. Tell you what, if he doesn't go to Darlington I'll eat my hat. Besides, I said likely, I didn't say it was a sure thing.

Thank you for your feedback.

He's not going to Darlington. Also you are correct earlier that HP, Conway and a few others will be making decisions by the end of the week due to a lot of board meetings being next week. I feel Conway and HP will make a decision before Friday but we probably won't know until Monday after their respective meetings.

Well then, I guess I know what I'm eating for lunch today.

In all seriousness though, he's gonna have a tough time trying to assemble a staff. Who would want to go to Darlington - out of all schools - as a position coach?

I don't know him personally but I know he took a dumpster fire of a program at HP and turned it around. He will have athletes at Darlington. If he can insert himself into the culture of the school, and like you said, get some help, I think he will win. We shall see.

I'm not sure about all that. A team doesn't just go 27 years with only 5 winning records with no explanation. They have a terribly toxic losing culture, and it's always been that way.

If Johnson somehow magically flips the culture, then it will take a good long while, 5 years minimum. But personally, I don't see a white coach succeeding at a school where you can literally count the number of white football players on one hand, and vice versa. This isn't the 90's anymore.
