Aiken County is a coaching graveyard... lack of support at district and admin levels make for a toxic, no-win environment. Potential applicants should think long and hard before considering this!

What the above poster said is very true. And the sad part about it all is that with some support Aiken could be competitive. They have the athletes. But like a couple other school districts is SC, they just give football a nod and could care less. It is a shame.

Administration doesn't provide the support for the AD to properly staff the football program? Explain please or examples. PM if you need to.Cover Three wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 10:56 amWhat the above poster said is very true. And the sad part about it all is that with some support Aiken could be competitive. Dwayne Garrick from Barnwell will be the new HC at Aiken.

On its face, almost shocking that Garrick would leave Barnwell for Aiken. One would think with his success he could have gotten a better job if he wanted out of Barnwell for whatever reason. But I suppose he has his reasons. Good coach.
