12 SCHS Robotics teams compete in the district championship

The top 50 teams from Georgia and South Carolina qualified to compete in the FIRST Peachtree District championship tournament this week in Emerson, Georgia. Congratulations to the GreenVillians for winning the blue banner. The Villians and the other 5 teams below in green qualified for the World Championships in Houston later this month.
The 12 teams that qualified for the district championship: Each year, in the first week of January, FIRST announces this year's game. The teams then have 8 weeks to design and build a robot to play the game. Teams then compete in local tournaments to earn a spot in the district championships, for a chance to qualify for the World championship tournament.
