So what's the knock on Bentley? With the monster numbers he's put up, why is he not a bigger recruit ?

Simply put, "HE IS NOT A BIGGER RECRUIT"

He's about 6'0" and they all want a 6' 4" guy and some question the overall strength of his arm.

Simply put, he has been hurt by Willy Korn. Korn was all that and then some when it came to recruiting, but his college career was not good (and thats being kind). Unfortunately he was labeled a system quarterback and frankly Korn looks like a better recruit than Bentley, thats not to say Bentley can't end up great. The issue with quarterbacks is most colleges just take 1 per year. They find their guy and go after him. All the bigger schools have their guy. Each school wants either a dual threat or 6'4 pocket passer. Unfortunately, Bentley is neither, so he falls in the cracks. Now, with that said, his little brother, he MIGHT end up being the most heavily recruited QB this state has ever seen. He looks the part and plays in the right system.

Yes. The starting job at Clemson was his when he was injured. I think he would have been a very good fit for the offense being run there.

Shuler has other offers from larger schools but he likes the Old Dominion coaches and they run the same system as Byrnes.
