That is taken from the NCAA Playoff Committee's webpage. If I'm reading this correctly, should Boise State from the Mountain West and Tulane from the American finish higher ranked than the eventual team to come out of the BIG XII mess where four teams are 6-2 in conference play, then the Group of Five gets two teams in the playoff bracket and the BIG XII is left out.
