I would grade the Rebels Offense, but I don't think they showed up?

Still a Win!SF Band dad wrote:Rebel-Fan-74 wrote:I would grade the Rebels Offense, but I don't think they showed up?Oh well, you know what they say about an ugly win...

Wish my team could have gotten a "W" last night....

I've looked at Standings before, they still just have W and L.

I have yet to see WP - WU - LP - LU.

WP- Won Pretty
WU- Won Ugly
LP- Lost Pretty
LU- Lost Ugly
I heard both Byrnes and Spartanburg coaches comment about how hard it was to keep their teams focused on this weeks games.

Byrnes Offense for 2.5 quarters last night.

Credit to Boiling Springs for playing as hard as they did.

Byrnes just simply thought they could show up go through the motions and get the win.lots of standing around and no tackling on defense and about the same on offense very sluggish.I think they will be fired up Friday and ready to play! At least I hope so!
Re: Grading the Rebels against the Bulldogs
It's about as much as you could hope for the week before the Spartanburg game. Byrnes wanted and did earn a win with a vanilla game. I imagine the film on the game will be of little use to the Vikings. Not sure if it's a case of looking ahead or a case playing what you have very close to the vest.
Dorman played a very ugly game against Rock Hill and then took Dutch Fork to the wire. I expect to see a different Byrnes team next week. Should be a great game.

If that is the case, the coaching staff is much worse than I thought and I am not impressed so far....
You have to prepare EVERY WEEK, especially when you get into Region Play!

Based on the past two weeks, I would put us as at least a two TD underdog.DeCav wrote:It's about as much as you could hope for the week before the Spartanburg game. Re: Grading the Rebels against the Bulldogs
In South Carolina you can make a case for going into a game as an underdog. I expect to see the most Byrnes has to offer next Friday. Both of these teams should lay it all out next week. This is what HS football is about to me. We should be able to accurately grade the discipline and desire of both teams and their coaching staffs. No excuses in next week's matchup. Each team will be looking to make a statement. I think the Vikings are probably due a win and they have the best chance they've had in a very long time this year. I suppose I am buying into them also. If I had to pick I would give the Vikings the edge too.
Credit the Rebel program. It's hard to make myself believe that Byrnes is going to lose on any given Friday night to any team. Not saying it can't or won't happen. It obviously has many times since '11 but I always find it hard to pick against Byrnes.

Re: Grading the Rebels against the Bulldogs
Spartanburg will be the favorite going in and rightly so! Spartanburg has a great squad this year and they might very well go undefeated but Byrnes will give them a good game IMO and might just give them their only loss of the season.I think it will be a close game I don't see the vikings coming in and beating Byrnes by 14 or more! I think the rebels will be ready to play and if they bring that energy they brought before the lightning delay in the mc game it should be a hellva game.I'm looking forward to it myself!
