Oline made some mistakes, but played better than it appears on paper. Cant put all those sacks on the big guys up front. QB has become gun shy since the MC game and I'm not sure why and you cant asked them to block that long. The only adjustment I wanted to see was to see Brian start rolling the pocket to take pressure off the OL and help Micah see the field better.gamecocksfootball62 wrote:Fellas we will turn it up over here, but give it a little while. This one kinda stings. Gotta be respectful to this board though and how it's ran. I like a jab here and there but it's time to talk some real football. See yall next week or so and good luck to yalls teams playing in this Monsoon. Can you invite the Injuns if we all promise to play nice? Good Night fellas.
The running game has arrived, we would have ran for 150 plus if we don't fumble, stopping that one drive, then ultimately making up throw it the rest of the night. I would keep #35 and either #3 or #22 in the game at all times and go with three Wrs.
Mag's defense played as good as they have played since Miller left, only giving up 14 points, td on the first drive of each half.
Three plays changed that game completely. The two obvious fumbles and the fake punt that gave them the FG for the 10 point lead. Flip those plays and its any ones game with Byrnes probably leading.

Since those mouthy Viking posters were everywhere on PFT, it's never gonna be a fun place anymore. I know that Coach Miller has done an absolutely fantastic job of making a good football team out of NOTHING, and that's been a good thing to watch.
However, there are always people that want to spoil everything and feel a need to always be in the limelight. Most of the Viking posters are of third grade mentality imo and don't care how the wins are made, just as long as they win. I could preach all a.m. on this but I'll just say they personlly can take responsibility for ruining the forum of PFT and taking the fun out of it. They've been doing this since their win in Columbia, so it's simply going on and on. They are not representing Miller, by the way. He's way too nice a guy for that kind of talk.

O5 thank you!! This is finally all about football. 1st of all the TD that was ruled a fumble made it across the plane. 2nd who in the begeezus fake punts inside there own 20? If your running game is taking you straight down the field drive after drive why would you abandon it? I thank you my friend for speaking up for the O-Line they give him 3 seconds as much as they can, and when you have 8 people coming on you those receivers or running backs missed their assignment. I don't know what's wrong with Micah. Chalk some of those sacks up to the line but you have got to get rid of that ball. Everyone wants to talk about the Offensive Line alot of sacks have been coverage sacks. I don't think Micah has been the same since his girlfriend for 2 years went off to college far away. The Spartanburg loss didn't ruin this season. We needed to get that monkey off of our back eventually during the season better now than in the playoffs. You have plenty of time to Iron out your wrinkles and start fresh. If we can get some DRY weather and with Mags defense rolling like it is who knows what the future holds. I know one thing RUN THE DANG BALL! BTW it's nice to talk football without name calling.

I know the fumble was a bad call. The other fumble hurt too, because we at least get 3 there, if not 7 because Mr Mayes was getting warmed up on the ground.
I felt like the lack of offensive adjustment and qb play cost us. I honestly only put 3-4 sacks on the OL. Coach can not call deep pass plays when they are bringing the house. Need to use TEs more and run the ball downhill.

Re: OFFICIAL BYRNES FANS WELCOME
Everyone knows we are a passing team... to a certain extent these days. Defenses can't stop both we are gonna either run the ball which we can absolutely positively do and we can throw the ball. All these teams are preparing their defenses for the pass so they are bringing the house, but when we run the ball it's right up the gut or hitting those corners. We needed to lose this game at this point to even the playing and let the coaches see what works. Run that mother until you can't run it anymore and when they are expecting that run then comes in those D1 receivers when no one least suspects them.

I don't like the latest projection either. I don't want to drive to Fort Dorchester...DeCav wrote:Yeah, I was pretty sure it was a TD.
Did you look at Meangreen's projections for Div II????

I guess Dorman doesn't deserve love if it can't beat Mauldin any better than that.
