I have heard the same things in regards to him talking to players and parents alike the same way. What I hear is that he is a bully and tries to intimidate people.swampfox1 wrote:This is the same person that was at Fort (Had trouble there), Came to Summerville and left to be the next great coach at a local private school (Had trouble there), went to Cane Bay and was part of the 0-11 season and now back at Summerville??? I also heard a rumor and I will say its a rumor that he has made the statement when the QB did not leave AR to come over to Summerville he would make sure that the younger brother of the QB would never play in the town of Summerville (Something along that line) Heard that he has made other statements to his own players or former players now too...Again this is second hand info, but I also understand this same person is the reason some players have left too. I have heard he believes he should be the HC now and believes he can work his way into that position. In the last few weeks things sure have gotten interested in the town...Then again Summerville begins to win and things will calm down.Wavefan70s wrote:I had forgotten about this board but I was ranting with GBG on the phone about what my girl heard.he reminded me.mrfootballforlife.you posted almost exactly what my daughter said a few players told her.must be true.heard the mobile oc was a issue.he's paid my taxes pay him.he should be held accountable. If what the kids say is true.I know they are kids so its a big if.his rump should be put on the first bus out of the ville and should have to apply for a visitors pass to drive through.nonstop of course.

From what Ive heard the two coaches who could and have cowboyed up to him are no longer on the staff this season and McKissick was one. Maybe the administration is secretly supporting and backing him why those two are no longer there.

Had not heard that one yet. I find it hard to believe that a guy who has had trouble everywhere he's been would have that type of support but who knows! I mean there has to be some reason he is still coaching, and I assure you its not his play callingGreenandGoldWave wrote:From what Ive heard the two coaches who could and have cowboyed up to him are no longer on the staff this season and McKissick was one. Re: Grading Summerville Mid Season
I bet Felder would make a good defensive end since we have a lot of rbs.
Re: Grading Summerville Mid Season
It sounds like most of the problems are correctable and it's just a matter of putting some ego's in check. I wouldn't bet against Summerville for the rest of the season and I really think many of you guys posting doom and gloom here are just so close to the situation it's easy to get caught up in it. We know the defense is capable of playing well (shutting out Goose Creek) and we know the offense is capable of playing well (putting 49 on Wando)...so it's not really a matter of the kids not being good enough. If Summerville's offense can start getting the ball to playmakers on offense and the defense can get back to where it has been the past few seasons they could definitely get into the playoffs. And if Summerville can pull out a win this week I'm sure that grade of D- will get up to the B- range at least.
Looking forward to the game this week and unlike what I have heard some Summerville fans say this week I'm not expecting a blowout...I think this will be the tough game it always is.
