AIRPORT
If I got the score right, MV beat Airport 33-28. Can anyone confirm that score? I'm hoping it's wrong. I was wanting Airport to go undefeated.

Re: AIRPORT
MV had both Carr's at 100% last night. Daniel was fast and elusive. Their passing game was as good as ever. DaQuan had two long TD runs, that look like an instant replay the second time. Ran off right tackle, found a hole and was gone.
Airport played a good game in all areas except the passing game. They dropped three for sure TD passes and threw at the feet of a couple open guys with nobody in front of them. Defense played pretty well just had a couple linebackers out of position a couple times that gave up the big runs. Losing Jacob Feaster to a dislocated Knee Cap in the first quarter was a big blow to the linebackers. Fumbling the opening kick off after a 70 yard return started the Eagles off on the wrong foot also.
The refereeing last night was bad as anything I have seen in 47 years of being alive. There were two helmet to helmet targeting plays right in front of two Ref's with no flag. MV had obvious holds and offensive pass interference on big plays. MV called a fair catch on a punt, Airports player ran into him after the catch with no flag. Of course the idiot in our stands screaming "Holding" on every friging play that MV ran is no help to the situation.
All in All it was a great High School football game. The team that appeared to want it more won the game. Congrats to MV, they played a good game. Congrats to the Eagles for coming back and making it close game. "IF" Aiken beats MV and Airport beats BC their will be a 3 way tie for first. Not sure how you determine a winner but Airport does have a "strength of schedule" advantage.
