Union County is not 15 better than anyone. They are just as likely to suck the gas pipe as they are to score on Friday.

I would take BS and 21 all day long.

Hartsville and 4 TD at Myrtle Beach seems strong.

Dillon and 42.....Ok

Byrnes would be a 3 point underdog to Hartsville, what a joke that is.

Boiling Springs losing by 21 is a lot. This team has only lost by 20 twice this season.45-0 nothing route in a game featuring 5 rain delays, hell as a parent after the 3rd rain delay I didn't even want to be at the game anymore. Dutch Fork 54-34, and York 40-20... Since then our losses have been by 5 (Byrnes) and 7 (Dorman).... This 21 point spread is absolute nonsense. He pulled this number flat out his rear end. Boiling Springs sports one of the best secondaries in the state. 18 interceptions on the season and a boat load of talent and speed to match, especially at the corner positions.

I can tell you this if Boiling Springs loses (which I do not believe will happen) it won't be by 21 freakin points.

If I were setting the line...

Spartanburg -10.5
Lexington -2.5
Northwestern -21.5
Westside -10.5

Dorman and Dutch Fork would be pick 'em
Byrnes and Sumter would be pick 'em or maybe Byrnes -2.5
Fort Dorchester -9.5
Hillcrest -6.5

I really think there are some good match ups among the games this week, especiall on the Division One side. I think the Bulldogs could beat Fort Dorchester, but I also believe that Fort Dorchester is for real. I know we sometimes take the Region VII and Region VIII teams for granted because they only seem to play each other, but some teams have ventured outside of the Charleston area the past few years and we've started to see they are better than you read on the boards. This may be the best team the Fort D folks have seen this year so I expect the Bulldogs will raise some eyebrows even in they don't win the game. If this game were at a neutral site, I'd have it at pick 'em and at Boiling Springs, I have the Bulldogs by 7.5 points.

Of the eight games, there is only one game that I'd be willing to say is a shock if the "favorite" doesn't win....

There is no one in Boiling Springs taking FDHS lightly. I remind my son every night during film study, 12-0 is 12-0. I respect the line being at -9.5, I disagree since they only score on average 8.6 more points per game than Boiling Springs does. I believe the difference in this game will be the winner of the turnover battle. I told all the boys the winner of the turn over battle will win this game. Taking two possessions from FDHS will be critical. Our defense is designed to take away big plays. No. 81 won't in my opinion be a large factor in this game. On film he's made big plays over the top. But this defense has limited offenses No. 1 recievers all season, especially big plays over the top.

Trust me I'm as nervous about this game as I've been for these boys all season. The stakes are so high! 30 years and not a single 2nd round win.

These boys in Boiling Springs are certainly prepared and ready. Every marquee team we've played has gotten our absolute best. Fort Dorchester is going to get Boiling Springs absolute best.

Boiling Springs - 27
FDHS - 24

I don't think Fort would win the game by 21 either, but I think Fort has a great chance to win just as you think BS has a good chance to win. I like seeing a matchup between two teams that haven't had alot of playoff success compared to the elite teams because both squads will be hungry. Fort has a ton of weapons on offense, #81 has been huge the 2nd half of the season but really wasn't a big part of the offense until about week 5 or 6, I think he only had one touchdown the entire first half of the season, but has put up over 12 total in the 2nd half of the season. Outside of him being 6'3 and one of the fastest guys on the team I think his production has been due to not only trust and maturation of our sophomore QB, but the fact that wide receivers #12 and #14 require constant attention and runningback #28 who has 1400 yards 25 touchdowns on the year and of course the QB's running ability which has been good for 75 yards and a touchdown per game is something defenses need to think about. Ashley Ridge got burned by #81 early for two long TD's and keyed on him which resulted in RB #28 scoring 4 TD's in the 3rd quarter alone. And as far as the trenches Fort has some beasts on the O-line, alot of size across the whole front and two guys who are on all-star teams including one who is the #2 ranked senior in the state, is on the US Army All-American team and has 10 offers from D1 schools including 7 SEC teams and the #1 and #2 ranked college teams this week (Clemson and Alabama), so I think Fort has the talent to battle in the trenches. With so many things to defend I think that's part of why you see guys like #81, #28 and of course #5 have huge games. Also don't take Fort's ppg at face value, the starters haven't played many full games this season, starters have only played a full 4 games (including playoffs). They put 47 on Ashley Ridge in the first 3 quarters and rested starters the entire 4th quarter.

I'm excited for the game and I'm just a FDHS graduate who has been going to games for years, but I know how high the stakes are for a player parent so I can't imagine how anxious you are for Friday lol. Have a safe trip down and I hope you enjoy the facilities. Maybe we can meet up pre-game or something.

I only put it there for these reasons: ( I had pick 'em for a neutral field and BS if they were home)

History - as you mentioned 30 years without a 2nd round win.

Home Field - should be worth one turnover, one favorable call or break, etc

Travel - not as big of a deal since no school, but still an issue

This game is only one play from being flipped. One team will make a big play on 3rd down to keep a drive going instead of punting, or a turnover takes a score from one team and instead of one team going up 14 - 7, the other team takes the turnover and they go up 14 - 7....so intead of being up 7 you are down 7 because of one play. Instead of scoring a TD, it could be a FG difference, 14 point swing or 6 point swing, so I went 9.5 points.

We have more than just #81. We can pound the ball as well. We have tons of play makers on offense. We are very athletic on defense. Believe me. We not taking boiling springs lightly. We aware of what they can do
