Northwestern will have to play a very tough non-region schedule as our region, overall, is not too impressive.

Non- region means nothing other than getting a team ready for playoffs. No more points, seeding only matters on region finish.

Yes. I was referring to playing teams outside our region to make the team playoff ready. "ON PAPER", we won't be tested much in region play next year.ByrnesRebels05 wrote:trojangrad78 wrote:Northwestern will have to play a very tough non-region schedule as our region, overall, is not too impressive.

Here it is mikey. It is located in the Realignment, Classifications & Regions section of the board.mikey wrote:Wonder if SF band dad has some old stuff to make a map/google map of where each school is located..by region...some of the schools ....Stall for ex..i got no idea where there at...general area.. but not what town they are close to..most in 4a and 5a i know...but some of them 2a/1a i never heard of..much less know where they are located..

Stall is literally like 2 stop lights down the street from Fort....lol. There's a county border on Ashley Phosphate and literally right past the sign into Charleston County is Stall. Pass that same sign into Dorchester County, go 2 stop lights, and turn right and you're turning into Fort. Their school moved from about right off exit 209 to a bit further down Ashley Phosphate, I'm assuming either because the school was too old or too crowded. Not to mention where the school was it was located in one of the worst traffic spots in Charleston and I'd argue in the US....lol. Seriously you could sit on Ashley Phosphate for an hour and move 20 ft.mikey wrote:Wonder if SF band dad has some old stuff to make a map/google map of where each school is located..by region...some of the schools ....Stall for ex..i got no idea where there at...general area.. but not what town they are close to..most in 4a and 5a i know...but some of them 2a/1a i never heard of..much less know where they are located..
Back when I was in school, we use to have a Miss Ashley Phosphate joke contest making fun of Stall because they were an early rival for us. It'd be held during homecoming and they would have a bunch of senior guys dress up and do like a bad pageant. Sadly, I don't think they do that anymore...lol.

I noticed on the SCHSL Bulletin Board that Northwestern was still looking for week 2 football games.trojangrad78 wrote:Yes. A couple excerpts.....
Northwestern High School (Rock Hill, SC) is looking for Week 2 football games (9th, JV, Varsity) for the 2016 & 2017 seasons. Year 1 (2016) – we must be HOME (varsity); Year 2 (2017) – we must be AWAY (varsity). If interested please contact AD....
Just 2 spaces down from that one.......

Spartanburg High School is looking for a football game for Week 2 of the 2016-2017 seasons. Prefer to be away the first year & home the second. Interested schools please contact HFC.....
That seems like it would work. But I don't know all the details involving the non-varsity teams.

So pretty much Region 7 and Region 5's whole season is for the region title...lol. Well there goes the bias that the Lowcountry teams only play each other....lol ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
