Re: Fort Dorchester 59 - Dorman 31
Congrats to all the Fort D fans. I was there and witnessed my Cavs get whipped up one side of the field and down the other. However, if they (Dorman) would have been able to take care of the ball a little better, this would have been a much better game. I honestly do not think Fort D is 4 touchdowns better. But, it is what it is. Congrats on winning state.

Be careful what you ask for. Fort Should be even better next year. We were very young in key spots this season. and man give credit where its due, we won state my goodness, yall got put out in the semifinals, give dorman credit for beating yall instead of finding excuses that yall had a bad game and blah blah. Actually I believe Fort Wanted Byrnes to prove they can ball out just as much. In a post you said on the other site, saying Byrnes would beat the brakes off lower state team, but the thing is, ive seen yall play, and blowing fort out, nope wont happen, Yall our good, but not unbeatable by any means. Some fans from Byrnes really make other areas hate upstate football, cause they way yall act as if yall can beat some college teams or something. Fort has some ballers, and the future looks bright. the attitudes now are way different than in years past. We expect to win, not hope to win, add that to better coaching, and having discipline unlike your team who i've seen that is very undisciplined. (sorry rebel fans its not all of you, just a select few that makes it look bad)

Okie dokie .I have to ask how will you be better next year losing at least two of your best linemen
4 to 5 integral parts to this years team.
Those guy were skilled I'd imagine if the guys moving up were better they would be playing no ?
Around 22 seniors graduate .it has to have some impact
Especially the size of the line.not that they can't block I'm just curious as to your assessment. Logically it doesn't make sense.elaborate on this please.
Thanks in advance

I don't think that BYRNES#1 is calling out Fort D in this instance.....
![Idea ](./images/smilies/icon_idea.gif)
I "think"
![Question :?:](./images/smilies/icon_question.gif)
he is hoping that his Byrnes Rebels will get to play Fort D next year....
Reason: The word on the street is that the 5A Playoffs will have an Upper State Bracket and a Lower State Bracket.
With the Upper State and Lower State champs meeting in the State Title game.
Byrnes has lost in the Semi-finals 4 years in a row now.
I "think" he is hoping that his Rebels break that streak and have an opportunity in the State Championship game again.....
Playing Fort D would mean that Byrnes has gotten past this recent barrier.
For that matter, I also hope that my Easley Green Wave gets to play Fort D next year....

Enjoy your State Title, your team was very deserving.

I agree with EHS. I didn't take B1's comment as a dis to either Fort D as a title contender or Dorman's margin of defeat. I had a slightly different take than Jack though. Most contenders around the state yearn to play the best teams. Byrnes is known to seek out quality opponents. I'm sure Chris is just expressing an interest to take a shot at beating the best next year.

Dorman is very excited to play Northwestern next year because they will be one of the best, highest ranked teams in the state along with Fort D.

I almost never post, and do not get offended by comments so please don't think of this question as trying to cause discord.
For those who saw both Fort D and upper state teams, how do you think fort stacks up? Hearing about northwestern all year I was most impressed with their defense. The offense scoring a bunch meant the D had to get them the ball a lot, and they did not give up many points.
Fort lost a ton up front on defense from last year, but got better as the year went on and the secondary got healthy. They struggled with mobile quarterbacks, and option type running games. Mainly, they forced turnovers.
On offense, every position can play D-1 except TE, and he can probably play lower level college. Special teams weren't weak either.
Truly asking, are most upstate teams this good, and if so this balanced? I was impressed with boiling springs resilance and dormans talent. I did not see any other teams from north of Columbia.

MeanGreen & DeCav are dead on the money.
I dont give em hell, I just tell them the truth & they think its hell!
Re: Fort Dorchester 59 - Dorman 31
On defense we will be better. On offense once the oline gets it going, look out. We had alot of guys that had some substantial playing time. We lose champagne but sanders returns and we have a potential play maker in #1 chaz Jones. He was a freshman with alot of upsize. Our te is solid. Defense front 7. Is going to be good. The back end should be about the same. From what i hear the newcomers are talented. Jv and b teams were great. Something Thats not usual. Hear they hit just as much or more than the varsity. And wavefan we will ne fine. Worry about the wave
