Just thinking here...

WINNER RATE LOSER RATE SPREAD
Greenville 224.8 Easley 192.3 17
EHSMeanGreen, Mister Doolittle's computer doesn't like your chances tonight? I think I would take Easley and 17.

T.L. Hanna 229.3 Greenwood 229.2 Toss
The best match up in 5A tonight may be right here. I know the computer thinks so, and most folks that I talked to say this could be the only speed bump in the path to a 10-0 Regular season for T L Hanna. I don't know if that part is true, Westside - T L Hanna is usually a spirited game as well. This is where I'd be if I didn't have to travel so far.

Spartanburg 223.9 Westside 217.6 3
Speaking of Westside, they get the Vikings to night and while the computer is saying 3 point game, I'm not so sure about that. Other than the Summerville loss, the Vikings have looked good when they put all their players in uniform. I'm not saying they would have beaten T L Hanna, but you lose 8 players, it has to make an impact. Who knows how the bracket will end up, but a rematch with T L Hanna is possible. But Coach Miller is focused on Westside tonight and the Vikings may prove to be a stern test for Westside.

Dorman 216.9 Laurens 197.3 10
Listening to local sports talk radio and you would think Dorman is playing the Laurens Little League Pee Wee team. "This game will be over before the folks get settled in from the parking lot!" and "Dorman will decide what they want the final score to be tonight!" Now granted, Laurens has not looked that good so far this season; but did I miss something in Dorman's games? One good half against Fort Dorchester, I'll give you that; but what else has been that impressive that would warrant those comments? I think this is a 14 point win for Dorman, but I do think they will need to play the second half.

Boiling Springs 227.4 Union County 174.6 26
No one can say Union County plays an easy pre-Region slate. Bad news, it doesn't get any easier tonight. In an era where the only games really matter are the Region Games, many teams are looking for the Kent State type games. Not in Union. The Bulldogs get ready to enter their tough stretch; Region Three is looking like there will be no weeks off again this season.

Northwestern 216.6 Gaffney 215.2 1
What a week for the Trojans. Coaches fired in mid season. Oh by the way, Gaffney comes to town Friday Night. In our pick 'em at work, this one caused me some issues. I went from "There is no way a new coaching staff can get ready this fast" to "A new coaching staff will get the team infused with new life" to "OK, Heads go with the home team". Gaffney has been playing like a heart monitor, up and down, and they better not be down tonight. I'm hearing there has been some sideline bickering and coaches having to tighten up some attitudes. Could be a very interesting night or a blow out depending on how those young trojans respond to the new coaches.

Lexington 201.4 Irmo 200.4 Toss
Battle of The Dam looks to be a close one. Irmo started off like a lion as I mentioned last week; but I also said that the list of wins included nothing to grab your attention. It didn't get Blythewood's attention. So does Irmo bound back and regroup or just bounce around until the season is over. Lexington hasn't been great, but they have played more like the Lexington we all remember. I'm saying this one will be the Game of The Night in the midlands.

Conway 228.4 Myrtle Beach 200.8 14
The computer thought Conway was a clear favorite. But like they say, the game is not played on the computer; which is a revision to the one us old farts remember, They don't play the game on paper! Myrtle Beach looked good against the Rebels early in the season with the GLARING exception of youthful mistakes. Maybe that group of young 'uns is maturing at just the right time. Congrats to the Sea Hawks, and thanks to you, I enter the games for tonight one game behind already.

Ashley Ridge 207.2 Summerville 202.1 3
Anyone remember when Summerville fans would have been down right mad that ANY ONE or ANY COMPUTER would have the unmitigated gall to have them as an underdog to Ashley Ridge??? The times, they are a changing. But some habits die hard and I still have the Green Wave winning this game tonight in my picks. But before you Wave fans get excited, I just told you that I had Conway as well. I'm thinking this one might be decided on the last drive of the 4th quarter. Does someone score to win it; or does someone make a defensive stand to preserve the win?

Great post R74! I am really looking forward to tonight's matchup against AR. This is a very big region VII matchup early in the season. This game may determine 2nd and 3rd place in Region VII. For Summerville to pick up the win they are going to have to play much better than they did in the 2nd half against Goose Creek last week in which we played the Gators to a 0-0 tie.

Well it seems the computer was right on this one...

Any doubters remaining concerning T L Hanna? Not here!

Westside was absolutely in the game for about a quarter and a few more minutes. They scored, made the two point conversion and then recovered the onside kick. 13-8 Vikings and Westside has it 1st and 10 at the Vikings 43. Next thing you know it is 4th down and 32 yards to go.... two quick Viking scores and Westside just mailed it in from there. No life, no excitement and BOOM, 44-8 before you know what happened.

Dorman didn't pull away until the third quarter. I'm still not sure about the Cav's.

Boiling Springs gave up a lot more points than I expected tonight, but got the win. Heard on the radio there was an ejection of a key player. Not sure of any details, they just said the Bulldogs may be a man down next week....

Well the Trojans must have rallied around the new coach. Jumped out to a 17-0 lead and held on for the win. Gaffney still can't seem to find themselves. So strange....

Lexington 41-21... Irmo started strong, now they are getting man handled. That is why 5-0 records need to be looked at closely before you get excited.

GoBigGreen is still dancing in the street.... Good win for the Wave tonight.

Great win for Summerville tonight at AR. We finish the season with 4 of 5 games at home following 3 straight games on the road(DF game was cancelled/postponed or that would have been 4 road games in a row). Summerville used a balanced attack for the win but what was not balanced was penalties. I can not wait to see the final count. I am thinking it is going to be something like 18 flags for Summerville and 3 for AR. Glad to get out of their with a win...
