Gaffney 33 Easley 14 Final

Post by EHSMeanGreen »

My first trip to the new Reservation. Very nice facility.
My youngest liked the pizza. :)
The Gaffney crowd was passionate as expected.
It was good to put a few faces with some screen names. :)

As for the game....
Easley came out hard hitting, our kids came to play.

My Green Wave just wasn't able to get enough going offensively. Credit the Gaffney D.
Gaffney led 13-0 at the half.
The Indians then took control of the game with Touchdowns on their first two possessions of the 2nd half. (G 27- E 0)
Easley fought back with a TD  of its own late in the 3rd. (G 27 - E 7)
And after causing a Gaffney fumble, Easley set itself up in Gaffney territory.
But the Indians were able to hold off any comeback attempt and went on to the 33-14 win.
Congrats to Gaffney.

I was proud of how hard my Green Wave played throughout the game . :)

Thoughts on the Season:
Offensively our team was devastated by injuries. At one point this season we were missing as many as 6-7 starters on the offensive side of the ball. A few of those players were able to come back for the last couple games.
Proud of the way this team persevered under some tough circumstances.
Here's to hoping for a more injury free 2018 campaign.
Go Green! Roll Wave!

It was Great to finally put a face with a name! I was impressed with the Green Wave's play especially on defense and the QB was impressive as well. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip to The Reservation! Maybe one day we will get to make the trip to Easley for a game, you all are a classy bunch of people from the kids, to the fans and to the coaches! Good luck to the Green Wave next season and beyond! 8-)

I didn't want to break a camera.
It started raining in the 4th quarter so that ruined any chance for any post game photo ops.

I got to meet Chief Whoa, joeyda123, and osceola1 briefly before the game.....
Wished that I could have met mikey. Maybe next time....

Saw Scalpie from a distance but didn't get a chance to speak to him...
I've never met him, just saw his picture online from one of your tailgates.

Thanks to 1Cannon for mentioning the One Asian Kitchen.

I didn't get a chance to stop this time, but the next time my wife drags me to the outlets in Gaffney....
I'm heading to the One Asian Kitchen. 8-)
