Thanks, Jack and others who have expressed concerns for the wife...EHSMeanGreen wrote:I sent Ken (RF74) a PM and asked how his wife was doing.
I'll share this on the staff side of the board.
I'll let Ken decide what to share publicly.
He shared this with me.
Wife is not doing well, matter of fact, she's been in hospital four times since July and the latest time is right now. Been there for close to two weeks now, not counting two ER trips previously, both on a Friday so I missed games. Hoping to get her taken to the Rehab Center today.... not great news but better than the hospital room. It is part of the reason I gave up running the pick 'em and not as active this year on the playoff projections, etc. I tried to do what I could, but when you never know from one day to the next what she is going to do or where she is going to be.... it gets to be a load.
My heart sank from reading this.
God Bless you and your wife.
Prayers to your family in this difficult time.
Hopefully she can come home and better days are ahead.
She is now at the Spartanburg Rehabilatation Center over at the North Grove medical center and has began her therapy this weekend. Saturday she had occupational therapy and physical therapy, while today was just occupational therapy. Occupational Therapy is things like taking a shower, shampooing your hair, unloading and putting up groceries, etc. Today, she walked around with a grocery cart picking up items as if she was in BiLo and then reaching in to the buggy... just using her legs. She's not wheelchair bound!!!! Getting back to walking, even with a walker is a big step. We hope to have her out of there in a couple of weeks and back home!
I ask that you remember her in your prayers that she will keep as positive as possible and as many of you can attest, being positive is very important when you are in therapy!
Good Wishes for the holidays for everyone and I hope you get to get out there and spend time with family and friends!!!
