The preliminary list swapped James Island and St. James. James Island stays in 4A, St. James stays in 3A.

16 May Update: As many of us suspected the numbers for Bluffton were wrong. The list released today has Bluffton in 4A and Hartsville in 3A.

4 June Update: This 135-ADM List and maps of the resulting 4 Classes have been added to the "Links and Resources" topic.

The following was posted over at PFT:

The 135 ADM numbers are in. Westwood, Greenville, St. James and Hartsville will move to 4A from 3A along with new school River Bluff. Aiken, Richland Northeast, Beaufort, South Pointe, and Lancaster will move from 4A to 3A. Woodruff and Strom Thurmond will move from 3A to 2A. Whale Branch and Johnsonville will move from 1A to 2A. Bamberg-Ehrhardt, Calhoun County, and Burke will move from 2A to 1a.

I'm guessing this assumes they will stick with 4 classes divided as they are now.

They didn't post the list, I'm searching around trying to find it. If you see them somewhere, let me know.

I started looking at the REGION layout and it is going to be interesting if they stay at 52 in AAAA...

Region Six could be an eight team region and Region 1 and 2 have 17 possible members so the question then becomes, does Gaffney go back to Region III or maybe they move Greenwood to Region Five with Lexington, White Knoll, the new school from those two (I'm guessing that is River Bluff) and North Augusta would make an interesting Region.

Spartanburg in Division Two is very possible if they make the playoffs.

Can you imagine, Region 6 with seven region games? Only need to find 4 games for two years in a row!

Over the next few days, we should try to look at the way we would layout the regions and post them at about the same time.... See if great minds do think alike.

That will work for me. Region 6 will get a lot more compact.

If they divided up the Home/Away assignments logically, the two Florence schools will have to make two trips to Horry county each season, the 4 Horry schools only one trip to Florence each season. But they won't do it logically.

Our local news outlets will finally report on all teams in our region. Florence/Myrtle Beach news outlets never cover Sumter or Lugoff-Elgin games unless one of our local schools are playing them.

Either Beaufort county is planning to redistrict or someone forgot to add the middle school 9th graders to Bluffton.
If they did make that error Bluffton will move up to about #10 and Hartsville drops back into 3A.

Well I have my first draft and I went with some things I that I seriously doubt will happen, but it did seem like a good fair breakdown for the most part.

Here's a map of how I'd do it.
Sumter and Greenwood aren't going to like this, but with 9 in the Low Country and 23 in the Upstate you have to shift a team to even things up.

If Bluffton stays in 4A and Hartsville stays in 3A it doesn't really change much, except for Sumter.
Bluffton would go into 8 and Sumter moves over to 4.
