T.L. Hanna exacts revenge on Greenwood in 29-3 win

Well what can you say :?: The kids tried hard as they could. Had some chances. Playcalling was on point. Offensively we just didn't make plays. Key drops and overthrows when we had wide open receivers. Got doubled up in time of possession. The defense was outstanding again. Only down 13-3 at the start of the 4th quarter with the ball. Can't ask for much more. We're just too young and inexperienced on offense to be a threat this year. Defense can play great all the time but if you can't keep up with the score it just doesn't matter. Tough loss in Greenwood Friday night.

Another big game loss. I can't blame the kids. I'm just not going to do that. They can only do what they're COACHED to do. Cathcart lost the region too, but he also WON it. And had three state title appearances in the same amount of years. Pippin hasn't had any region titles, state titles, or state title appearances...... Those are the FACTS. Still waiting.......... How long are we supposed to wait?

Again the kids and coaches tried as hard as they could. Just gotta support the program whether we win or lose. I want to win these type of games as much as anybody. TL Hanna is just better. I hate to say that but sometimes it just is what it is.

did Hanna have many fans there.it look like
the stands were pretty empty on the RED ZONE
tv show.this game used to pack the stands and
have standing room only.i noticed a lot of the
big schools have almost empty stands over
the last few years.

Hanna had a pretty good crowd. their band took up a lot of space though. Greenwood hasn't had a standing room only crowd since 2010 against north Augusta in the playoffs. We used to pack the home side when we'd play emerald, abbeville, dorman, spartanburg and so on.

96....The world has changed for the worst my friend. Not all schools have lost their fan base...but MOST i would say have.

I remember @ Myrtle Beach in 2011...3rd round of 3A playoffs...Bluffton packed visitor side ( because we were winning that year..undefeated coming into game :D ) and I asked a MB fan at halftime why their home stands were only HALF FULL? He said there was a concert..Brittney Spears i think...and some got tired of MB WINNING all the time.

Parents and kids alike today are mostly selfish and dont " have the time these days" to attend with their work schedules and other things...like the almighty COMPUTER or XBOX...whatever is electronic to take up their time.
Its sad...even last years Upper State final @ Dorman...Gaffney brought the city...Dorman didnt...@ HOME!!!

I notice stuff like that at schools like burke and north charleston. NC had their homecoming, and from the what i saw on the news probably had about 50 on the homeside while oceanside packed their side. At NC and most charleston county schools, fan support is subpar except for west Ashley and wando. I know for a fact fans from schools like burke and north charleston will prefer supporting events at a club than to support their own kids or other relatives that play for those schools. Well homecoming at burke is different. It's a big deal there other than that. Zero support

Not really. TL Hanna did nothing special. They weren't that fast and the Greenwood defense was flying around the field. Hanna could barely move the ball in the first half. This was a game that could've been won. It just feels different at Greenwood now, like the killer instinct isn't their. Teams take on the personality of their coach. Just having winning seasons is not a goal for Greenwood. Winning titles are. He needs to get over the hump of not winning region. This was that shot. Now what is the goal if you can't win region? It's lots tougher to win state. Somethings missing. That Hanna team will go out early in the playoffs with us. I just saw nothing special.

How good is Pickens offensively? He seems to run the ball a lot for Hanna and he also had two TDs. They seem to be solid defensively but still not sold on them offensively.

Did nothing special. He was kept in check mostly. He just tries to use his size. The Greenwood defense did a good job with him. The offense just wasn't producing scores.
