The game was back and fourth all the way through. CF at one point was up 30 to 14 early third but WF’s elite RB came alive! His name is ailym ford and I think he had nearly 300 rushing yards tonight

The SF Bruins were over at the beach thumping a less-than-mediocre Socastee team, so I decided to attend the Kickin' Chicken wings & chili cook-off in downtown Florence. I kept track of the games on the SCPT live scoreboards. I was amused watching the back-and-forth CF@WF "basketball" score. A real defensive struggle, that one.TheSilverFox wrote:Since Dutch Fork had a bye this week I decided to drive to Florence to see the top two region 6 squads. Since Region 6 will have home field through the third round it’s very likely DF will have to travel to West Flo who won tonight!

He’s very good but as he goes WF goes! Both defenses were very mediocre and gave up big time plays on both sides. Both WF and CF are decent teams but I don’t think either can stay within 3 TDs of DF. They both made big mistakes that would cost them dearly against a team like DF in the playoffs! We played WF in the playoffs last year so I know they’ll be looking for revenge!
Yeah, sounds like both defensive units struggled.....SF Band dad wrote:A real defensive struggle, that one.![]()
I think WF should be able to make it past the first round but they’ll likely matchup with Summerville in the second if the seeds hold. That should be an entertaining matchup. Ailym Ford is very good and will be a tough matchup in the playoffs but WF lack of a passing game will be there downfall IMO.SF Band dad wrote:The SF Bruins were over at the beach thumping a less-than-mediocre Socastee team, so I decided to attend the Kickin' Chicken wings & chili cook-off in downtown Florence. I wouldn't worry about visiting Florence in the 3rd round, I wouldn't be surprised if all four region 6 teams are playing basketball after the 1st round. Incredibly weak region this year.
I haven't seen the other candidates play, but Aliym Ford is one of the best HS running backs I've ever seen,...and by all accounts, a fine young man.bbrown1240 wrote:Aliym Ford would be my pick for Mr. Football
