Though I personally think Hanna is a bit overrated and have played a rather weak schedule and they might not even make it that far. A 4th place team in the very tough Region 2 like Boiling Springs or an improving Northwestern team is capable of knocking Hanna out in the second round. Remember that Hanna made an early departure last year. I don’t trust them. And I don’t think they beat Dorman if they do make it to that game...Hanna has not seen a defense as good as Dorman’s...not even close. Dorman and Gaffney will meet in a rematch for the upper state title.

Talk about a raw deal....how bout a possible 9-1 Gaffney team not getting a single home playoff game...

And now that Sumter beat Irmo last night, and Blythewood faces Spring Valley tonight (in a close matchup), I have no idea what to put in my bracket for Region IV. Sumter is #1, but after that I don't know how to break ties, or who might move to the lower half of the bracket. Can anyone who knows fill us in?

If Blythewood beats Spring Valley
1. Sumter
2. Blythewood
3. Irmo
4. Spring Valley

If Spring Valley beats Blythewood
1. Sumter
2. 3-way tie (Blythwood, Irmo, and Spring Valley) Region Points would also tie.

COIN TOSS.

According the bbrown1240 from Sumter, loser of the Coin Toss procedure will get 4th place,
2nd place will be determined by Head to Head between the 2 remaining teams.

Perhaps you failed to watch the Georgia Tech v. Virginia Tech game on Thursday night. The Nerds hung haf-a-hundred on one of the best defenses in the nation. Unless you play against Wing T teams regularly, it can be a long night for the best of defenses. The Nerds have now beaten Virgina Tech 4 out of the last 5 years, 3 years in a row, and Virginia Tech Head Coach Justin Fuentes has NEVER beaten the Nerds. Bud Foster, the Virginia Tech defensive coordinator, is one of the best in the country. He has been in the same position for 32 years now.

Don't try to tell me that any team has a defense that can stand up to the Wing T. They don't. The defensive coordinator for whomever draws Hanna won't sleep for a week trying to prepare for it. Can it be stopped? Of course it can or everyone would run it. But it takes time and patience to understand it. Strictly assignment football on defense. Forget your eyes, just do what you are taught. Nothing more, nothing less. And these are High School kids we are talking about. 4 year college starting defenders struggle with it. Trust me, NOBODY wants to play Hanna.

Bingo, told several people after Byrnes lost to Dorman, this isnt the worst thing in the world because it meant Dorman would have to see Hanna early in playoffs. The two teams in the upstate that are bad matchups for Byrnes are Hanna and Dorman, well now Byrnes probably only has to beat one instead of both.

The bottom half of the bracket will also have Gaffney! :o

As a matter of fact, Thanksgiving weekend might include Byrnes at Gaffney, and Dorman at Hanna in the upper state. I certainly wouldn't bet against those four at this point.

I think I got it backwards. According to Coach Kennedy at Irmo, if there is a 3 way tie, there will be a coin flip between the three teams. The odd one out will take the higher seed, then it will be head to head with the other two teams. For example, if there are two heads and one tails, the team that flipped tails will take the highest seed.

And to be honest, I got a feeling Spring Valley is going to beat Blythewood.
