Here are a couple of hurdles Legion has faced hiring coaches
A lot of detailed differences between Legion and the traditional public schools that have made hiring coaches more difficult for Herron. He had a lot of interest from candidates, but turning interest into hires wasn't easy: https://www.heraldonline.com/sports/hig ... stage_lead

Considering their hires, doesn't seem like they have had any problem at all hiring quality coaches. And if they do, I don't think you would see many leaving a puddle of tears in sympathy

Yeah I think a credit to them to get the staff they've got (all sports).
I also think that a lot of folks just thought they would raid public school system for its best coaches and that didn't happen, which the story explains.

Hey Bret..... What are the coaches at Legion getting paid ? I figured you would have access to that information act. The public would love to know

Not exactly sure, but most of them are only receiving coaching stipends.
Only a few work at the school and coach (Herron (AD), Carroll (asst. AD), Parker Thomas (lacrosse/sports information director), so those guys would make actual salaries along with their stipends. I don't think any of the coaches teach at the school.
I'm working on a statewide high school football coaches salary database, which should tell us what Herron is making...

Bret looks like NW is also having issue keeping coaches. More coaches have left. OC and OLine guys have departed.
Legion is getting Bobby Page that has stepped down from NW and DB coach Benjie Young is not returning. Times and climate has changed at NW. Just 4 years ago NW had the best staff in the country according to the great K.R
Major issues having all those coaches leave one place. Something fishy is going on !!!
