Gaffney should be very good this year. Im thinking region champs and a very strong run at the state title this year but then again the coaches are the same ones weve had and the problem will be the play calling that everybody in the state knows what we are going to run before our own coaches no it lol

Abbeville is going for the holy grail and is looking for that 5th straight AA title! A good chunk of talent was lost to graduation but the Panthers will reload and be ready this year. The offense has some holes to fill in the running game but the QB is back so there is experience. The defense will be nasty. Also underrated for the Panthers is their special teams unit which is led by Senior kicker Dylan Beauford who had an amazing season last year (Hit 60+ punt and 40+ FG in upper state title game) and will likely leave as the best kicker in school history. 2020 is the year the Panthers will really have to hit the reset button as the senior class this year is huge. The schedule is tough for a AA team and is highlighted by a home date with Hartsville on 9/27. Abbeville was supposed to go to Hartsville last year but unfortunately it didn't happen due to weather. Some notable active streaks for Abbeville entering the 2019 season:

-4 straight AA titles
-3 straight region titles
-22 straight wins
-37 straight wins against AA opponents
-15 straight region wins
-26 straight wins at home

By any measure, what Abbeville is experiencing right now has been nothing short of amazing and is the definition of a dynasty. Coach Nickles and his staff get the absolute most out of their players every year and I know they are hungry for that return trip to Benedict.

My prediction: The Hartsville game will be tough, as will the matchup with Southside Christian (who played Abbeville close both times last year), but Abbeville does get both of these at home. Some of the win streaks may get snapped, but the Panthers are a clear cut favorite to win the region again and will push strongly for that coveted 5th straight title.

I know we scrimmage sumter at some point.
The Dorchester county showdown is August 16.
Not sure yet about the rest we return a good bit.
