To Rebel-Fan-74 and Wildstallion2......Great info and thanks for the feedback........

Quick question to Wildstallion2 ..... how are the players and coaches responding to Coach Hollaman..? Any coaching changes on the assistant staff? I wish him nothing but the best.....

WHO ELSE???

Gaffney finished runner up to Myers Park at the Panthers invitational which included Dutch Fork,Summerville and Wake Forest to name a few...7 on7 don't mean a thing though...Gaffney has a nice mix of offensive and defensive play makers coming back...its just a matter of how the o-line is...

Chuckster, South Pointe is looking great this year so far, we have got a lot of big guys on the team and some really good skill players coming up, and also some Freshman that are big enough and might play on the Varsity squad like Derion Kendrick younger brother. Coach Hollaman you know is more defensive minded like Coach Herron was, so I think we want be making a lot of the same mistakes like we did last year with our defensive line, only using three men up front against teams with a running offense hurt us, we had to many close games and it finally caught up with us against Daniel in the play-offs. As for the SP Coaching Staff we have a surprise coming at the Offensive play-caller spot, a Real Diamond in the Rough.

Looks like we at South Pointe will get to see what Gaffney has this year at The District 3 Stadium Football City USA Jamboree August 16. South Pointe vs Gaffney Full Game.

very good tournament, but just reading some of the previously post I agree that 7on7 should not at all be an indication of trying to crown a state champion. :D 7 on 7 is good because it just basically allows your players to compete . and it's more helpful for your secondary because of covering for 4 whole seconds....with qb throwing against air!

Agree with you post. Seems College Coaches use the 7 on 7's to evaluate key play maker talent and ability....quick decision making ......skill position analysis.....

Put the "hogs in up front on both sides" and that is when things change.....

Chuckster I agree with you...but to me this is a lazy way of analyzing players. You see what a player is made of during real game play not in a shorts and shirt competition. Everyone's an amazing player until the bullets start flying.
