Well put Penguin. As you well know Cribb when @ Bluffton ran what we called the FLEX-BONE. Multiple options and plays out of that formation. I was just wondering if any SC team ran the straight ole wish-bone where the defense is always wondering who in the wide wide world of sports has the dang ball coming through the hole!!

I know it's not SC, but does that team out in California that Byrnes has played run it? I don't recall their name, but they are always top ranked. I remember they run the ball alot. I just don't recall their scheme.![]()

Re: What teams run the Wishbone in SC????
The last time that I saw any teams running out of the Wishbone set, it was only for special situations like short yardage plays and 2 point conversions. The last team in this area that I remember running the Wishbone was the old Jasper County Jaguars. In the 3A and 4A ranks, the last team that I remember running it was Middleton back in the 80s. I won't say that other teams didn't run it, I just don't remember seeing them in person.Newcatntown wrote:Well put Penguin. As you well know Cribb when @ Bluffton ran what we called the FLEX-BONE. Did Coach Tyrone Drakeford get a new OC? Or was this a change based on what is on the roster?

More to fit the roster got some strong young backs moving up this year and from what I saw on Friday at Crestwood seems to be working. could see a move to a multiple look offense as the QB and receivers get comfortable with each other.5thqtr wrote:Did Coach Tyrone Drakeford get a new OC? Okay. I'll be keeping my eye on the Knights! I have family in Bethune, SC. It will be good for the area to have them be good.
