NW was improved and were playing together although they have a very tough road ahead and a lot of growing to do. SP wasn't even close to the teams they have been fielding in recent years. SP was completely missing the swagger they usually play with and for much of the night they just didn't have play calling that used their skill players to stretch the field. It will be interesting to see how these teams perform of the next few weeks.
I saw Sumter giving the ball away 8 times half of those inside their own 35 yard line and it not being taken advantage of. Then on Saturday I saw a couple of teams who looked like they were in "Week Zero"!
NW and South Pointe will both be fine teams this season. Both have new coaching staffs. Both have HC's who are HC's for the 1st time. There is bound to be some growing pains.
So with that in mind - you grade on a curve! I wasn't expecting them to look like it was the last regular season game and the region was on the line. I was grading on "potential" and "where they will be".
And, in my opinion, both are ahead of where RH is currently. If you can get on PFT you will see I Posted something totally different last year! It was more to the tone of: "Rock HIll is hungry and capable of beating South Pointe and it wouldn't surprise me if they win"!
In other words, "I Call It Like I See It, for my team or against"!
The greatest growth of a football team occurs between what games?
