AC Flora 37 Beaufort 21 Final 8/23/19

AC Flora beat Beaufort 37-21 this past Friday night to open up the 2019 Football Season. The game was played in terrible weather conditions including heavy rain and a 1 hour lightning delay. Even with the bad weather and My Beaufort Eagles taking the loss it was still great to see some football.

As for the game Beaufort's mistakes killed them. Beaufort lost 2 fumbles and had an Interception. For some reason maybe the rain had something to do with it but Beaufort had another fumbled exchange between the Center and QB. This also happened in the scrimmage against Wando and in Beaufort's Playoff Game last year against Brookland-Cayce which cost Beaufort that game. Hopefully they will really work on this in this upcoming week.

Beaufort's James Dagin had a good game with 2 TD'S on the night. He ran the ball for a 2 yard TD and also had a 95 yard kickoff return for a TD. He had another Kickoff return for a TD called back because of a penalty. Beaufort's coaches need to get Dagin the ball more and also try and get the Eagles Running game in order. Beaufort's running game was nearly non existence in this game. Beaufort's Offensive Line which was suppose to be the Eagles strong point this season struggled with blocking people in this game especially in the 1st half. In the 2nd half they did do a little bit better. But they need to block the entire game.

Beaufort QB Tyler Haley had some good throws in this game and actually had a couple of sure TD Passes but the WR'S dropped the football. Haley was also under pressure for most of this game because of the poor blocking of the OL.

AC Flora looked good passing the football and also has a pretty good RB. I was really impressed with AC Flora's Defensive Line. They are very good. Good luck to AC Flora the rest of their season.

I really liked where this game was played at. Memorial Stadium in Columbia is a very nice Facility. We didn't get home from this game until almost 3 AM after the weather delay and eating after the game. It was nice that our Niece that lives in the Columbia area was able to make the game with us. It was also nice seeing NewCat at the game. I hope to see you again at the Bluffton at Beaufort game later on in the season.

Well next up for Beaufort is a Home game next Friday Night August 30th against Cross Town Arch Rival Battery Creek. Hopefully My Eagles will learn from their mistakes in this game and get a win.

Ha Ha. I agree Penguin. Stall is more of a cupcake then Battery Creek is I think.

At least possum hole has a good gurls softball team. But a stall is still a place for a horse to take a dump. I have looked at maps of SC for over 6 decades now, and I still can't find no place called stall. I heard that is right in between "nowhere" and "I can't find it".
