HURRICANE DORIAN
HURRICANE DORIAN
I wish to offer my highest hopes that everyone in this state, and all others affected, remain safe and out of harm's way. This makes 3 times in the last 4 years that the South Carolina coastal counties have had to endure the wrath of mother nature. Rhonda and I are riding this one out at home. Good luck to all of the teams and fans of those teams who will play this week. Hope that all goes well.

I saw your post about Carolina and it teared me up. You are making me turn into a ball of mush.Newcatntown wrote:Wow...a softer side to ya...stay safe and away from trees!!
PS: I still hate Traitor Mack for what he did to the Carolina program when he left for Cowpie Yoo.

Re: HURRICANE DORIAN
Noon time on Thursday. Beaufort was spared the worst of the wrath of Dorian. I live with the marsh at my back yard. During both Matthew and Irma, we had 4 to 6 feet of saltwater incursion on our property. My entire lot was inundated by the rising water. During last night's high tide, with Dorian at it's closest to our coast, our water level was lower than a normal high tide. This was due to the location and movement of the center of Dorian. From Tuesday on, Beaufort experienced at worst, winds parallel to the shore out of the northeast and not onshore. By yesterday afternoon, our wind direction changed to Northerly, and eventually to Northwesterly. The wind actually was against the storm surge this time, and places further north like Charleston and to the north, suffered those onshore winds. My heart goes out for all those to our North who are suffering now, and those who are in the path of this storm. Please stay safe, take care of yourself first, and your property second.
