Former Emerald Coach Frank Hill Passes Away
Definitely saddened to hear this news. Coach Hill lead the Emerald Vikings to a magical 12-3 cinderella season in 1998 where they went on the road and won four playoff games to get to Columbia. Hill and the 98 Vikings defeated Batesburg-Leesville 9-7 on an exciting hook and lateral play late in the game to capture Emerald's only football state championship up to date. Coach Hill was one of the nicest people you could meet. Rest in peace coach.
