I played 06-09. Never lost to Laurens.....eagle93 wrote:You've never beat Greenwood consistently. I don't remember losing to Laurens during my time there. The series is heavily Greenwood. That's fact. It's a school we regularly beat. Yes you've won some, but you've lost many many more to Greenwood. It just is what it is. Greenwood has had more football tradition and success at football.GLS wrote:Eagle 93 I know you did not beat Laurens in your time either. My problem is both of you are acting like Laurens does not have its fair share of wins or region and state championships also.

Greenwood leads the series 33-15. Has double digits state titles. There was a 17 year stretch that Greenwood didn't lose at all to Laurens.

We got beat by you twice when I was there. It was the end of coach Burkett's tenure. Doesn't change the fact that Greenwood handily owns this series. As I mentioned. The series is 33-15.

He did. I should also mention that the last time I remember them getting a title was in 1991. That's a minute ago.ManigoEra wrote:homeboy jettedeagle93 wrote:We got beat by you twice when I was there. It was the end of coach Burkett's tenure. From 1989 to 1992 Greenwood lost to Laurens two times. 92' 48-7 and 91' 20-3. Greenwood won in 90' 17-9 and in 89' 17-6

Homeboy works for a living didn't jet, but this does prove my point. Stop living in the past. Greenwood can't compete with the big boys anymore. You should be a 4a school where u could compete.
Re: The current state of Greenwood football
Word I received yesterday was with the new realignment process only counting 9-11th grade Greenwood most likely will move down to AAAA next year. This will help them a lot toward returning to being competitive again.
