Indian Land has gotten better and better as the season has gone on. I don't believe they will have enough Friday; but hey, that's why you play the games!
Region III appears to be a complete mess! All the teams have issues it looks like to me including my Stallions! Westwood is 3-1 with their only loss coming at the beginning of the year to Lugoff Elgin. Then they got a close win over a decent Blythewood(3-2) squad. But, their other wins where they scored some points were against 1 win Lower Richland and zero win South Aiken.
We beat RHH who has gone on a mini run since losing to us! Greenville who had been flying pretty high. NW - rivalry game much like Westwood and Blythewood. And, Nation Ford(3-2).
Goodness what happened to some of these squads? South Aiken a couple years ago looked almost unbeatable. And it looks like they have the same coach. I believe RV has a new coach as well.
Might be a short post season for Reg. III teams if some vast improvement isn't made and that includes South Pointe!
The offense has to find it's stride! The OL is big and experienced enough to be doing better! The defense plays too hard for an offense not to compliment it by scoring enough or holding the ball for a few 1st downs while in game adjustments are made. Pick it up a little bit offense! We have to identify a kid or kids who are willing to step up and give Omega Blake some help! Q. Chambers maybe in the slot. Find a way to get the ball in R. Myles hands more! We need that simple offense: "put the ball directly and simple as possible in the hands of your play makers"!
Sigh here! I'll still be there to support the boys though. But, if we don't pick it offensively we are looking at another early exit if we are fortunate enough to make the playoffs!

Region 3-4 A is one of the weakest 4 A Regions in the state of SC. South Pointe's only competition will indeed be Westwood. If SP can play with the right level if discipline, they will take this region championship. Class 4 A will be fun to watch with SP, Myrtle Beach, Daniel as the favored teams......SP's win on the road vs. Greenville was impressive....
Likewise, Region 3 5 A is the weakest Region in the state.....Clover's game vs. Irmo this Friday night will tell us alot.....Clover's non-region schedule is weak.........

South Aiken is not part of Region III-4A. Ridge View has the same coach they have had for years in Perry Parks.5thqtr wrote:Indian Land has gotten better and better as the season has gone on. I don't believe they will have enough Friday; but hey, that's why you play the games!

Disagree, South Pointe's competition will once again be York.....York starts putting it together for Region play, young players get system and win...

What are you talking about footballfan 4343? I was talking about who WW played when I mentioned South Aiken. As far as Coach Parks I thought I read somewhere where he went to Irmo. My bad.

I was glad to hear Coach Hollomon saying we are still a work in progress. Which is usually just "coach speak" but you could tell he meant it here. The potential is there to be really good; but at this point we aren't the: "you had better hope we are off our game or you have no chance Stallions" suiting up South Pointe! We are the good players and all but they can be beat if we just execute Stallions! If WW is a typical WW team then they are big and physical. We will have to play ball like our heads are on fire to win. Same with all of them if we aren't executing!Chuckster wrote:Region 3-4 A is one of the weakest 4 A Regions in the state of SC. I saw York against Rock Hill - I think unless they change a couple vital positions - they will have issues with SP personnel at key spots.

South Pointe's Quarterback Taleek Steel is a Senior, so he will be the Starting Quarterback in every game unless Omega Blake is needed to step in, like he did in the Nafo game.
Re: Indian Land @ South Pointe & Reg.III
WildStallion2 - is T. Steele back healthy? I want him playing as much as anyone; but I want him healthy for region games and hopefully a playoff push.
O. Blake has to touch the football more. R. Myles has to touch the football more. Q. Chambers must get some swing passes if the OL isn't getting it done in traditional running plays. Our OL passes the eye test at least; they seem to do a pretty good job of giving Steele time. We have to start connecting on some of the "lay up passes"! Make the easy throws if the defense is playing soft corners! Run some man beaters(rub routes) if they are trying to jam and get too aggressive. We too talented to be sputtering on offense like we are. I tip my hat to the defense so far for doing their job and keeping the score to where we the Stallions can win. We will need more offense as this season moves on; if it is to move on how we want!

Re: Indian Land @ South Pointe & Reg.III
that Stallion D is very hard to score on. On O, get the ball in Blake's hands step back
Re: Indian Land @ South Pointe & Reg.III
Awesome Job by the Stallions! Indian Land will be a force to reckon with one day. Beat them now!
Some of the things that translate no matter the opponent: "execution"! I thought the defense continued playing stellar! Hats off to those guys! Good job by the coaches getting them ready and for having them ready all year really!
The offense came out and executed in the pass game! I think R. Myles and O. Blake can be a hand full for any secondary if we can get them the football. The OL just needs to pass block better and Friday they did. Good job. Tahleek is not DK back there and won't make a ton of plays on "unscripted offense"! So, run it the way it was designed as much as possible and more often than not it works for the Stallions. They did that Friday.
Think we need to stay aggressive in the play calling and continue challenging the OL to create holes. Our OL is of a nice size. They need to play like it and "dominate"! OL moving forward your mantra should be "dominate"! The RB's did a fine job and will only get better as the OL continues getting better!
Good Job Stallions!
