And Laurens doesn't need to go down to 4A? You haven't won anything big since 91. Also, your coach is a Greenwood guy and will be applying for the Greenwood job. There is a reason for that.

With the right combination we compete with anyone. No need to drop.

Greenwood isn't your team.....so why do you even care?

Laurens? Really lol? The only reason y'all are any good is because your coach is a former Greenwood assistant.

I love hardheaded and stubbornness. Can’t tell you how many times I have watched hardheaded people fail in my life when they could have been successful with a little bit of humbling. My question is do you 97 or 93 have even a vote in who gets hired because I know for a fact you didn’t last time. Last time I checked the Principal and the AD are the only ones are who make the decision to challenge if they don’t like their position and I don’t believe you told Coach Pippin not to try to petition to get into AAAA two years ago so sit back unless you are the Principal or the new head coach and **** **. You don’t know what you are talking about! Also, why do I care, because I have family that cares!

Yes I've told Pippin many more things than that. I'm not silent. We don't petition to go down. I have way more ties to Greenwood High Athletics than you. You just moved in from the outside for a little while and don't even care about Greenwood football. We've never ran from any opponent. Not going to start now. You're either a hater of Greenwood, or are in support of someone who doesn't really support the Greenwood philosophy. I know what that philosophy is. You can't tell me what it is so don't try. You really have no dog in this fight since you don't care for Greenwood football. Just came on here out of nowhere. No one owes you an explanation of how we believe and see things with our program. We've spent our lives in this town. You haven't.

And yes I know the principal too. Greenwood folks have more influence on Greenwood football than you think. I think you've gone too far honestly.

I am going to walk away from this conversation since I know a lot more than you realize and what I have stated will come to fruition in time. No need to continue this discussion when I can’t divulge my sources and who I am to you which would explain a lot. Have a great day and may all of your coaching search dreams come true. I hope you will look back and reread my posts and reflect on their truth one day. I have all the respect in the world for Greenwood and their traditions so without you knowing who I am you can’t appreciate my words. Best wishes again and I am gone from this posting.

I've had my guesses, but that's irrelevant. I'll divulge this to you because I'm pretty in touch with parts of town I'm sure you aren't. Some of our most talented kids aren't playing for either high school, but they should be. But you can't tell me that I don't know my hometown and school's tradition and history when that's all that was beaten into my head. In football camp in the mountains and the expectations the whole time from the community. It's entrenched in me. I try to remind myself that it's just a game. But I still expect to see us reach certain heights regardless of who we play. I've told Pippin that he is a great person, and that's from the heart. I believe he's done all he can for Greenwood. I mean that. I've probably been more vocal to him than most. But not in anyway that I felt was a disrespectful tone. It's Greenwood, and as with any school that is high on it's football program; vocal folks kinda comes with the territory. Skin has to be thick. It even had to be thick back in my days as player. It is what it is.
