If you continue to play like you have the last couple of games Dutch Fork will put a fork in you for what the 3rd out of 4 years in a row. I have no horse in the race and only speak from experience and honesty. You don’t have to like or agree with what I say but it is the true. Osborne is going to be a good maybe even an exceptional talent. We are talking about this kid all over the state. But you are not playing talented team thus far this year and you can’t continue to make the same mistakes. A very good coach will pick up on your habits and use them to his strategic advantage. Such as knowing that when Osborne comes in your going primarily to the pass. That Sabb is the better option running QB and likes to run the ball himself. He needs to handoff more often to disguise when he is actually going to carry and no take so many hits. Dorchester’s strength is their defense. Great D-Backs and D-Line! Eliminate the mistakes and you might get a shot at a FOX! State goes through the Fox at their home this year!

There isn’t a single DB who can guard Jailin Hyatt one on one in this state IMO. He’s too long and too fast. I don’t think DF will face another team as good as MC was defensively and even they couldn’t stop Olenchuk from throwing where he wanted. Too many weapons at WR and Hall at RB is just too fast to stop. Not just saying this about FD but about every other team in 5A as well. It’s a pick you’re poison of trying to stop the run or pass or even both! Our Defense is stout as well, people tend to forget they only allowed 131 points last year and is on pace to do the same thing this year!

Silver Fox I watched the game with Mallard Creek and The Fork, you couldn’t stop the run against them which tells me you are suspect there. Don’t get too chipper yet because any given day a team can fall and have a bad game. Ask Alabama about the Clemson game. I agree Hyatt is the best wideout in the state this year but Fort has a couple of good DB. You said “single” so who said they wouldn’t double cover him? Also yes, Olenchuk is a very good QB but like Fort who have y’all played outside of Mallard Creek? You like Fort have a Big Ten schedule full of cupcakes! You most likely will win your 4th State Championship but after Byrnes man handled Gaffney who handled Mallard Creek better than you did there could be a contender for your title this year!

I agree the freshman isnt ready yet but very talented. We need to shore things up.when hes in its pass .we played like crap .cant do that in playoffs .im confident we will get it together.

The disagreement i had is .i never felt threatened by goose creek.
As for df.yeah they beat us 3 of 4 but one of those was as bad as home cooking as i have ever seen.phantom bs calking tds back.damn refs spotted the ball where knotts pointed. I mean seriously it was bad.as u see in my signiture knotts was at the hash mark 65% of the night durring play. If you beat me beat me. Fort coach steps on field flag came out.flat out got bullcraped the whole night.
We were not at fort d at that time i had no dog in the fight.
It was sickening. But the other two were legit.

I understand why you might not feel threatened. But think for a minute how the momentum changed when GC got the turnover and then scored, then recovered the fumble on the kickoff. They almost scored again before fumbling on their own 5 yard line. They could have gone into the half 21-14 and tied it up when they got the ball when the second half started. Woulda shoulda and coulda didn’t happen but it almost did if they didn’t step all over themselves. I have been a retired coach for over 10 years and just enjoy traveling with my friends watching the better games we can see. Just my perspective.

By the way, I like this Osborne kid a lot. I think he has a sky high potential if he works on a few fundamental issues. I hope he is doing everything in the classrooms as well. That is the first thing coaches look at these days. Also I hope his parents remain humble with him when the recruiting time comes. So many parents ruin opportunities for their kids.

There isn’t another team even remotely close to the size Mallard Creek had. There also isn’t a 6’2” 230 lb RB who would’ve been tough for any defense to stop. Of course any team can lose but generally speaking DF isn’t just a good team that has one play maker double Hyatt and get burned by Spencer (who had 220 reception yards and 3 TDS last night) or Dorian Jacobs who already has 8 reception TDS this year. All three could easily eclipse 1,000 yards this year. Outside of Doty there isn’t a better QB in this state than Olenchuk. His accuracy is impeccable and he has underrated break away speed as well. I’m of course not underestimating no team whatsoever but outside of Byrnes no other team has been that impressive on both sides of the ball.
