Christ Church has historically hurt J L Mann when it came to football in the past. I don't know if that is still the case but when they were winning all their State Championships players were flocking to that school to compete depleting the resources of quality athletes for Mann. They never have recovered. Strickland was a dedicated coach who gave his all to that program and came from a successful program. He had some success early on but Mann has been a graveyard for coaches whose careers have died there.

Fort Mill, NaFo, and Catawba Ridge will all experience some pains adjusting to the division of talent, but with the projected growth and what not, I think in 4-5 years we'll see what we can expect from a talent standpoint of these 3 schools.

Will NaFo and FM drop to 4a(even temporarily) and allow for a great 4a region of Nafo, FM, Catawba Ridge, York, South Pointe, Lancaster, York, Indian Land?

Quite possible on them dropping to 4A for a while. But with the way the Fort Mill/Tega Cay area is growing it wont be long before they are back in 5A. And doint it will take Catawba Ridge long to get there. And I can see 5-10 years down the road that area will need another high school. Probably on the other side of 77 for the boom on that side of the highway.

Wish our local FM and Lancaster teams would commit to winning and hiring winners. Our Bruins hired a quitter from the last staff and FM hired a loser from NC would couldn’t win there.

Not sure how many good options Fort Mill had in the hiring process. Fort Mill used to have a pretty good program, but just because of the changes, and growth in the community, it isnt the same landscape it used to be. Not sure FM is a very attractive job these days.
