Those 100K jobs are becoming less and less these days. So many dists. are separating the job in the state. Even in Greenwood Dist 50 they are hiring the AD first before hiring the new Football Coach which tells me they are likely splitting the job up like so many other schools are doing. The current athletic admin is also retiring after this year as well and she has been the backbone of that dept. Based on that, I would guess that Emerald will have the same done to it when the time comes. 100K do nothing job is gone, even though a lot of AD's do a lot more than you realize. Just a thought!

Closer to 70K+ Teacher and Coach, 75K+ Teacher and AD, depending on years of service and whether they have a Masters Degree.

Here are a couple articles with stipend amounts for this year and a couple previous years:

pretty much what I posted. Again, you would save money paying 1 person to be AD and Head Football/or head something 100k, then have 2-4 assistant AD's which these schools already have

so 3 high schools, 3 AD's that all make 80k (yeah they do), 3 football coaches that all make 70k (some make more), 3-4 assistant AD's that make between 7k-10k stipend. The AD jobs became separate, but the assistant AD's never went away (not saying they should, but you could have an assistant AD for Fall, Winter, and Spring sports with 1 AD/Football/Basketball? Whatever coach over seeing it all

schools are spending more money on salaries, not less than the old model

and paying 100k I'm betting you would attract some pretty good coaches from surrounding states. Like, um, Dutch Fork did!

I am not familiar with any school that has 3-4 Asst AD's, could you enlighten me? LOL Now I will not say totally that there aren't any because schools like Dutch Fork start the year with an athletic budget that exceeds over 100K before they sell their first ticket, but most school districts didn't have that luxury that I have worked for. Totally insane, most AD's I know were happy to have an admin OR an Assistant AD but not both.

Again, this site is a unique hub of coaches looking for jobs and jobs maybe looking for coaches. This time of year I'd start pushing this aspect on google.
