FESS UP-TELL THE TRUTH

Post by Penguin »

How many folks here predicted that Beaufort County would have more teams playing in the second round of the 3A, 4A, and 5A state playoffs, than York County? Has Football City, USA relocated to the Lowcountry? Or is this just a one-off anomaly? I can fully understand other Counties like Burkley, Dorkchester, Spartanburg, and other Counties with perennial powerhouse football schools, but Beaufort? C'mon Man! :?

In 5A that region had the bad luck to get matched with region 2. And everybody knew that wasnt going to end well. South Pointe? Though undefeated, one kind of should have see early in the year that this wasnt their usual killer team when Northwestern played them close. Nations Ford gets by and Gort Mill is just not a very talented football team. Clover hasn't lost, but think they are overrated because of easy schedule and region.

NABF, speak the truth brother! Spread the gospel! "Mighty" is the truest description you have spoken to date! You are finally coming around. I am proud of you.
It is with a heavy heart that I say Byrnes "hung" 57 points on your Indians. What does that say for your team colors?
Lemme guess....refs? Injuries? Quasars emitting bad juju from Sagittarius A?
And then there is the tried and true...."it was Jones and Littlejohns fault". Cushy little fall back. Kinda cute
Oh the travesty.

I'll admit it. Low country is making it happen

remember "Football City USA" was a self-appointed nickname. Talent is too diluted here. Nesx champ from Rock Hill may be Legion

I was just pointing out how crazy this year has been. In no way would I try to compare Beaufort County to York County in High School football. It just occurred to me that nobody could have seen this coming. And both Beaufort County teams are underdogs this week, but as I said, this has been a crazy year with upsets everywhere that you look. Greer over South Pointe? Mauldin over T.L. Hanna? Newberry over Chester? Makes you wonder what big time power will be the next to fall.

i dont make it a habit to ever blame the young men that are in the trenches doing battle but it is what it is, it was bad execution. you cant snap the ball on a punt into one of the up men and then snap it again later in the game on a crucial drive while the qb is giving the wrs the play call and not looking and give a team like byrnes roughly only 60 yards total to go for 14 points. the 90 yard run by harris at the end of the game doesnt even count because the defense thought byrnes was taking a knee and didnt bother to run after him. the game was much closer than the final score indicates.
